husband, Mr. Chen Chongling, who was previously a senior program

Yun Performing Arts New York Company's ninth show in Taipei on the
evening of March 24, 2010. After seeing the show, she said, "I
really appreciated Shen Yun's innovative and unique artistic
performance style. The presentation of the essence of the
5,000-year Chinese civilization, history and culture can help
people understand the Chinese traditional culture. Hopefully, this
kind of culture can be further promoted."
Seeing the program depicting higher beings' safeguarding Falun Gong
practitioners who were steadfast in their belief, she said with
sympathy, "The show also conveyed the message about belief. If you

Deeply moved by Shen Yun's dedication to promoting the
traditional Chinese culture, Mr. Chen continued, "If you say Shen
Yun represents the traditional Chinese culture, I would not reject
it ... . As Shen Yun is from the United States, I think it is very
good to let Chinese culture become rooted overseas and recognized
by the overseas Chinese society through its (Shen Yun's)
performance."
Ms. Guo concluded by saying, "Some of my relatives are conducting
folk dance classes, and I'll invite them to see the show next time.
On the other hand, I'll attend the show next year along with some
more friends so as to let them appreciate Shen Yun's
magnificence."

His wife, Ms. Cai Donghui, who is a retired professor of the
Taipei University of Education, had the highest acclaim for Shen
Yun New York Company Orchestra's perfect combination of classical
Chinese instruments and Western instruments. When she discovered
that all these artists are Chinese who have grown up overseas, she
was really touched.
"Nowadays (Chinese) children have overly admired Western culture,
and many have forgotten the traditional Chinese culture and other
valuable things. Chinese culture should be preserved and promoted
continuously. Seeing these overseas Chinese so vividly illustrate
the Chinese culture through classical dances and legendary stories,
I really respect them very much."

He paid special attention to the persecution of Falun Gong, a
peaceful meditation practice, in China today. He said it's
completely violated humanity and the justice of nature. The
cheerful and amiable elderly man said in a serious tone, "If [the
members of] the Chinese Communist Party are still human beings,
they should immediately stop the repression of Falun Gong."
He stressed, "Falun Gong not only refines one's morality, but also
the body, and furthermore, cultivates the heart. It is good for
mankind. So it should not be suppressed, but be vigorously
promoted."
