(Clearwisdom.net) On March 6, the first Tianti Bookstore in Australia opened to the public in Sydney, with over 50 guests attending the opening ceremony.
This is the third Tianti Bookstore worldwide, with the first in New York and the second in Toronto, Canada. Tianti Books is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the book Zhuan Falun and other original works by Falun Gong's founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi (now 38 books plus DVD/CD) and their official translations (now in over 20 languages and growing), as well as free consultations, classes, and seminars.
John Deller, spokesman for the New South Wales Falun Dafa Association, Sir Locus Woo, vice chair for an NSW multicultural agency, and Steven Sim, a renowned community radio host, gave congratulatory speeches and cut the ribbon.

Sir Lucas Woo is the vice chair for an NSW multicultural agency. In his congratulatory speech, he said that he has known the local Falun Gong group for 10 years and they had made many contributions to the community. He said: "I know that Falun Gong practitioners are good citizens, provide voluntary service and share spiritual cultivation culture. We are very grateful to them. I think that everyone has the right to choose his/her belief and to introduce his/her own culture to the society. We hope that your efforts will be fruitful and the Australian society thanks your contribution."
Well known community radio host Steven Sim said that he was honored to be invited to the ceremony. He said that he had never met people who are more compassionate than Falun Dafa practitioners. "I support your right to belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." He said that he was very glad to learn that Tianti Books had opened to the public and said he would share the information with more people.
Alice Wang from the Sound of Hope Radio, Sunny Wu from New Tang Dynasty TV, Rebecca Kai from the Sydney Epoch Times, and China expert Professor Chongyi Meng also attended the ceremony.
The Sydney Minghui Chinese Language School's dance troupe performed a beautiful dance at the ceremony and received warm applause from the audience.
