(Clearwisdom.net) On September 25, 2009, Mr. Luo Meijun was arrested for talking in public about Falun Gong and the persecution. He was beaten by Li Yanwen, the director of Huaian Police Station, and policeman Hou Guodong.

At around 8 a.m. on July 25, 2008, about 15 people from Toubaihu Town Police Station surrounded Mr. Luo's home, confiscating a satellite antenna, a receiver, and Falun Dafa books.

On September 25, 2009, Mr. Luo went to Huaian on business and talked to people about Falun Gong in a retail store. He told them that Falun Dafa was good and that they should quit the CCP. Someone reported him to the police.

Director of Huaian Police Station Li Yanwen and officer Hou Guodong approached his car. Claiming that they needed to check his driver's license, they deceived him into going to the police station. The searched him and confiscated some Falun Gong materials and 140 yuan in paper currency with good words about Falun Gong written on the bills. They also confiscated 1,200 yuan in cash for his business.

He was shackled to a chair and beaten. When Li Yanwen got tired, Hou Guodong continued. The police recorded his statements as "evidence." He was then taken to Huaian County Public Security Bureau to be photographed and then taken him to the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou for 15 days.

A team leader in the National Security Team in Huaiai County, Sun Yongjun, and other police officers took 8,000 yuan from him before releasing him.

Mr. Luo Meijun's relatives went to Huaian Police Station to retrieve their car, but Li Yanwen demanded another 1,000 yuan from them.

Director of the Toubaihu Police Station Zhang Qing and Director of the Local People's Congress Ye Changqing went to his home and confiscated an MP4 player and other Falun Dafa books. All of this greatly distressed Luo Meijun's elderly parents, a young child, and other family members.
