(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhu Guilian started practicing Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) in 1996 and benefited both physically and mentally. After July 20, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong, she refused to give up her faith and was arrested and imprisoned many times.
In 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Dafa and did the exercises in the Tiananmen Square gate tower. She was arrested and held in a local detention center for more than 10 months.
On June 20, 2005, Ms. Zhu was arrested and held in the Changde City Detention Center.
On February 2008, she was once again arrested. Later, she was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.
On April 2009, Ms. Zhu was once again arrested and held in the Dingcheng District Detention Center in Changde City. On February 2010, Ms. Zhu was tortured to near death, and the guard called her family to take her home. She died on May 5, 2010.
Before her death, Ms. Zhu once described being injected with a certain lethal drug when she was locked up in a mental hospital in Changde City. She said that the drug caused her to vomit and discharge blood.
