(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yang took many photos with his cell phone as the blocks-long procession of the Falun Gong march through Washington, DC passed by. He looked delighted. The march was led by a banner reading "Falun Dafa is good." He smiled and said, "So many people! Many Westerners, too!"

This is one glimpse of the grand march held in Washington, DC on July 23, 2010. The theme of the march was, "Expose the persecution and call for an end to the eleven-year-long persecution." The procession was composed of three sections: "Falun Dafa is good," "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong," and "Only when the CCP is gone, will the persecution end."
The march set off from Washington Monument, a massive symbol of freedom and hope. The procession then traveled along busy 14 Street to Lafayette Park in the downtown area. People along the route stopped to watch, and many people asked for information in hopes of learning about what was happening.
Mr. Yang from Virginia has watched Falun Gong marches more than once. He mentioned that this time it seemed bigger than before. He said he had read Falun Gong informational materials and does not believe what the Communist Party says.

Tom and his wife from Poland now live in the U.S. They were also among those who watched the parade. When they learned that Falun Gong practitioners marched to raise awareness about the persecution, they thought it very important and offered to help however they could.

A German family vacationing in Washington, DC happened to see the grand march set off from Washington Monument. They stopped to watch, wondering what was happening. After learning more about the practice and the persecution, they agreed that the persecution must end as soon as possible.
Many Chinese spectators were surprised to see such a large Falun Gong march. Mr. Sun felt great after watching the grand march pass by. A Falun Gong practitioner from China, taking the opportunity to visit the U.S. on business, participated in the march. He was exhilarated to take part because no such opportunity exists in China. He looks forward to telling people back in China what he has experienced.
A practitioner from Ukraine said that the Chinese people should not be afraid of the Communist Party, mentioning how the former Soviet Union collapsed overnight. She said that she participated in the march in Washington to tell the Chinese people that the situation there can change overnight as well.
Practitioners from all over the world participated in the grand march in Washington. Ms. Zhang, who clarifies the truth in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington every week, was delighted to see so many practitioners gather for the weekend's activities. She said that it shows how practitioners all over the world work together to end the persecution.
