(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 32 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Ms. Bai Caiping and Ms. Xia Junying Arrested
Ms. Bai Caiping and another practitioner went to visit Ms. Xia Junying at her home in the Machinery Factory residential compound on July 15, 2010. At the time officers from the Ning'an Road Police Station happened to be searching Ms. Xia's home. Ms. Bai and Ms. Xia were arrested, and another practitioner was able to escape. The two practitioners are in a detention center.

2. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Yan and Others Arrested
More than a dozen officers from Yi County Domestic Security Division and the Dule Township Police Station made a sudden search of several practitioners' homes in Zhaizi Village on the morning of July 13, 2010. The practitioners' homes belonged to Ms. Jiang Yan, Ms. Zhao Yanting, Ms. Yao Min, Ms. Lu Junmei, and Ms. Qi Fengtian. Ms. Qi Fengtian was taken to the township police station.
That same afternoon, officers from the Dule Township Police Station issued a summons for Mr. Zhao Lu and Mr. Zhao Zhirong and issued another summons two days later, on the afternoon of July 15, to arrest them. The two practitioners chose to live away from home to avoid the illegal arrest.
3. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Police Beat Mr. Fan Zhongzhuang to the Point of Disability
Jinyun County State Security Division agents beat Mr. Fan Zhongzhuang severely on August 27, 2005. The beating left Mr. Fan with a cervical fracture, which is considered a first-degree disability. Mr. Fan was sent to the Jinyun County Detention Center in August 2005, and interrogated and deprived of sleep for five consecutive days. The police put him in handcuffs and shackles and subjected him to severe abuse and torture. He was soon in critical condition. Jinyun County Police Department officials trumped up charges against Mr. Fan in November 2005 and subjected him to a two-year forced labor term, which was served outside the labor camp.

4. [Huarong County, Hunan Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Xiang Yuying and Ms. Zhong Xiping
Ms. Xiang Yuying and Ms. Zhong Xiping are both retired teachers from Huarong No. 2 Middle School in Jinggang Town. The two practitioners were arrested on June 27, 2010, in Xinhe Township. Participating in the arrest were Xinhe Township Police Station head Lu Yuexiang, Huarong County Domestic Security Division head Chen Lianghua, and agents from the county's 610 Office. The practitioners' homes were ransacked. They are now in the Yueyang City No. 1 Detention Center.

5. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Jin and Ms. Wang Jinxiang Arrested
Ms. Zhao Jin from Chengguan Town did the Falun Dafa exercises in front of her home on the morning of July 14, 2010. Chengguan Town police officers arrested and took her to the Yuanshibu Brainwashing Center. Ms. Zhao's home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Ms. Wang Jinxiang from Laoyoutun Village, Chengguan Town was taken to the Yuanshibu Brainwashing Center on July 15, 2010. Officials attempted to force her to write a guarantee statement promising to give up Falun Gong, but she refused to comply. She was then taken to the Zhangjiakou City Brainwashing Center, to be held for three days, and has returned home.
6. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Guiping Arrested
Ms. Sun Guiping from the Lubei District was arrested at home at 10:30 a.m. on July 19, 2010. Officers from the Lubei Police Department's Domestic Security Division made the arrest and ransacked her home. Her whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Qian'an County, Jilin Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Pan Li
Ms. Pan Li from Qian'an County was arrested at home on the morning of July 9, 2010. Officer Zhao Yanhai and four others from the Qian'an County Domestic Security Division made the arrest and ransacked her home. Ms. Pan was taken to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City on July 16, 2010.
8. [Jiyang County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Shandong Sues His Persecutors
Mr. Wu Shandong, 39, was arrested in November 2009 and subjected to a three-year forced labor term. Police officers Su Fengshou and Cheng Kun seized 16,000 yuan in cash from Mr. Wu during the arrest.
Mr. Wu sued them through the province's Procuratorate, which has put the case on file for investigation and prosecution. Mr. Wu went on a hunger strike on May 1, 2010, to protest the illegal detention and forced labor term imposed upon him.
9. [Yanji, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Xiuqin Arrested at 4:00 p.m. on July 19, 2010
10. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Lixin and Ms. Li Xiurong Arrested
Mr. Wang Lixin and Ms. Li Xiurong were arrested at approximately 10:00 a.m. on July 19, 2010 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong in a suburban family compound. Officers from the Changqing Police Station made the arrest. The two practitioners were taken to a detention center at around 5:00 p.m. that same day.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Lu Shuqin Arrested
Ms. Lu Shuqin was arrested on July 16, 2010 on her way to a market. Officers from the Shangcang Police Department in Ji County made the arrest. Ms. Lu's whereabouts are unknown.
12. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Deqian Held in the Jidong Prison
Mr. Wang Deqian, a folk artist from Laishui County, was tried at the Yi County Courthouse and is now being detained in Team One at the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Hu Ying Injured from Police Beating
Ms. Hu Ying was held in the Jiulongpo District Detention Center where the guards beat her so cruelly that she suffered a foot bone fracture. She is now in the Red Cross Hospital at the Chongqing No. 2 Detention Center.
14. [Huanan, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Zhen Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhen, 69, was tailed and arrested on July 18, 2010 as he spoke with people about Falun Gong.

15. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Jinglian Arrested
Mr. Cui Jinglian from Qiqihar City was arrested at 10:00 a.m. on July 20, 2010, in the Guangxi Autonomous Region. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Longsha Police Department and from the Criminal Police Division. He has been taken back to Qiqihar.
16. [Henan Province] Luoyang 610 Office Agents Arrest and Hold Practitioners in a Brainwashing Facility
Jianxi District 610 Office agents held a brainwashing session at the Fuxing Hotel in early July 2010. Falun Gong practitioners who have been held there include Ms. Feng Lianhua, an employee of a technical secondary school in the Luoyang Building Materials Machine Factory, Mr. Guo Zhansheng, an employee of the Luoyang Gold No. 3 Company, Ms. Wang Shulan, an employee of the Luoyang Petrochemical Company, and Mr. Wang Jingquan, an employee of the Luoyang Tractor Manufacturing Company.

Xuling Town Police arrived at Ms. Wang Shuqin's home in two police vehicles at around 4:30 a.m. on July 12, 2010. They blocked the front and back gates, climbed over the exterior wall and broke into her home. They put Ms. Wang into a police vehicle and drove her to the Fushun Brainwashing Center.

20. [Hengyang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Pingzhi Arrested
Ms. Zhu Pingzhi was arrested at home at approximately 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2010. Participating in the arrest were county 610 Office agents and officers from the Jibing Police Station.
21. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Lijun Arrested
Ms. Chen Lijun was arrested in July 2010 in Wuxing Street. Participating in the arrest were Liu Dequan from the Da'an Police Department 610 Office, Huang Quan from Machongkou Street, and Qiao Jian from the Machongkou Community.
22. [Zhuozhou, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Nairong Subjected to Forced Labor
Officers from the Zhuozhou Police Department Domestic Security Division, and the Songlindian Police Station, along with government staff from Litun Township, committed a crime at 7:00 p.m. on June 12, 2010. They broke into Ms. Jiang Nairong's home, confiscated her Falun Gong books, Minghui Weekly, and CDs. They arrested Ms. Jiang and took her to Shijiazhuang City the next day, to hold her in a forced labor camp for a year.
23. [Huanggang, Hubei Province] Ms. Tong Jinxian and Others Arrested
Ms. Tong Jinxian, 49, a teacher at the Changjiang Elementary School in the Huangzhou District, was arrested the morning of July 19, 2010, while she was walking with her mother, aunt and uncle. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Hubei Province Police Department, the Huangzhou City Police Department, and the Huangzhou District Police Department. They also ransacked Ms. Tong's home and seized her printer, a computer, and Falun Gong books. Ms. Tong is in the Huangzhou City No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Xiao Jinhua, 45, who works part-time at Pangzi Restaurant in the Huangzhou Development Zone, was arrested at approximately 11:00 a.m. on July 19, 2010. Zhang Haifeng, head of the Changjiang No. 4 Division, colluded with local police. They deceived Ms. Xiao into leaving her workplace, and then made the arrest. Ms. Xiao is now in the Huangzhou City No. 2 Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Guilan, 70, a previous employee of the former Huanggang City Daxiu Factory, was arrested at home at around 3:00 p.m. on July 19, 2010. Huanggang City police made the arrest and ransacked her home.
24. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Shunji and Three Other Practitioners Held in Changchun Prison
Ms. Li Shunji, Ms. Tao Xiulan, Ms. Tao Xiuzhi, and Ms. Chi Shuqin from Shixian Town have been taken to the Changchun Prison. The four practitioners were arrested on June 19, 2010, at the hands of officers from the Xinhua Frontiers Police Station.
