(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, ten practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jian and His Son Arrested
Mr. Wang Jian lives in Xingwangzhai Village, Xingwangzhai Township. He was taken to a brainwashing facility on June 22, 2010, together with his wife and son. Wang Kunyuan from the Domestic Security Division colluded with officers from the Xingwangzhai Township and from the Shirengou Police Station and made the arrest. The police also seized a computer while ransacking their home. Mr. Wang was transferred to the Zunhua City Detention Center on the morning of June 26, 2010.

2. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Mingzhu and Others Subjected to Severe Abuse and Mistreatment in the Mudanjiang Prison
Mr. Wang Mingzhu is held in the prison's Ward 8. Three other practitioners including a practitioner surnamed Wang are in the same ward as the above-mentioned Mr. Wang. Guards ordered criminal inmates to monitor the four practitioners. The criminals often kicked and punched them. The practitioners' families have been forbidden to visit them.

3. [Yulin, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Hu Zhonghou and Others Arrested
Mr. Hu Zhonghou and Mr. Zhang Guangtian from Shenmu County were taken from their homes on June 24, 2010. The village Party secretary and officers from the local police station made the arrest. We have no further information about them. In addition, five other practitioners from Yulin City were arrested and held in a brainwashing facility.

4. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shunying Arrested
Ms. Li Shunying from Qiqihar City was arrested at 3:00 p.m. on June 26, 2010 as she spoke with people at a market about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Anshun Road Police Station. With instructions from Wang Hang from the 610 Office, Ms. Li was sent to the No.1 Detention Center that same evening. Prior to this detention, Ms. Li had been subjected to abuse at the hands of officers at the Xinli Street Police Station. She has still not recovered from the severe abuse from her previous detention. She suffers from edema and visceral pain and is unable to lift her arms.

5. [Huaihua, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Muzhen and Others Held in Custody
Zhijiang County 610 Office head Peng Zuyou colluded with Zhupingpu Township deputy head Yang Biao on June 8, 2010. They broke into Ms. Li Muzhen's home, arrested Ms. Li, in her 60s, and practitioners Yang, in her 50s, and Li, in her 70s, who were at Ms. Li's home. Two other practitioners, Ms. Long Juzhen and Ms. Hu Zixiang, were also arrested that same day as they spoke with people in the township about Falun Gong. The five practitioners were taken to a detention center.
Ms. Li Muzhen, Yang and Li returned home that same night. Ms. Hu was held for two days, and Ms. Long was held for ten days. Ms. Hu and Ms. Long were each forced to pay 30 yuan daily living expenses before their release.
6. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Recently Arrested
Ms. Xiao Lan, Ms. Xiao Fen, and Ms. Hua Ni from Dongjiujia Village were arrested. The three of them are incarcerated in the Xingtai Brainwashing Center.
Mr. Zhang Ligui from Shaohe City was recently arrested for a second time. He is also in the Xingtai Brainwashing Center.

7. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Du Xinge
Officer Zhang Qi from the Dongfeng Police Station went to a hotel in Changchun City in a drunken state on the evening of June 1, 2010. He claimed to be checking the ID of all customers staying in the hotel. Mr. Du Xinge, a manager on duty, received him. Zhang insisted that Mr. Du present his ID, and then took Mr. Du away. Learning that Mr. Du is a Falun Gong practitioner, officer Zhang held him in the Dongfeng Police Station overnight and sent him to his local police station the next day. Mr. Du was incarcerated in a brainwashing facility for several days before he was sent to the Weizigou Detention Center.

8. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Shouchen and Two Others Await Trial
Mr. Bai Shizhong from the Keshan Farm in Qiqihar, Mr. Yang Shouchen from Harbin and another practitioner were arrested on May 22, 2010 for installing a satellite receiver. They have been in the Sijiazi Detention Center in Qiqihar City for more than a month, have been officially arrested, and the prosecutor is ready to prosecute them and bring them to court.
9. [Henan Province] Additional Information Regarding the May 13, 2010 Case in Anyang City
Three practitioners, employees from the Anyang Steel & Iron Company were arrested on May 13, 2010: Xiao Hui, who runs a shop in Tianjin, along with Mr. Li Xinbao and his wife Ms. Ai Hua. They are now in the city's detention center. Three more practitioners were subjected to long-term detention: Ms. Shi Yane, Mr. Wu Qinchai and Mr. Zhang Chunlin.
10. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Ai Wangyun Arrested
Ms. Ai Wangyun was arrested on May 30, 2010 and is now incarcerated in the Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in the Jianghan District.
11. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Jinyan Arrested
Ms. Yang Jinyan, in her 30s, lives in Lichi Lane and Weiguo Ave. She was arrested around 2:00 p.m. on June 24, 2010 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong near the Tianjin University of Industry and Technology. Officers from the Tangkou Police Station made the arrest and sent her to the Hedong District Detention Center.

12. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Yuan Lini and Ms. Gu Zhiming
Two practitioners from the Tianhe District who were arrested on the afternoon of May 12, 2010 are now in the Tangxia Detention Center. Ms. Yuan Lini, 24, from Hubei Province, teaches mathematics at a university in Guangzhou City. Ms. Gu Zhiming, 34, from Jianyang, Sichuan Province, is a design engineer in a company in Guangzhou City. Ms. Gu's family has received a notice of her detention.
13. [Panshi City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Guolan Arrested
Ms. Jin Guolan, 48, an employee of the Yantongshan Town Seamless Steel Tube Plant, was arrested on the morning of June 26, 2010 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong. Officers from the Yancongshan Police Station made the arrest and ransacked her home.

15. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Zhang Hongbing and Another Practitioner Arrested
Mr. Zhang Hongbing from Shenyang was arrested on June 24, 2010 as he met with a female practitioner in Nanta. While detained, the female practitioner lost consciousness and fell to the ground. She was later released. Mr. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Huanggang, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinzhen and Three Others Arrested
Officers from the Hongan County Police Department, from the 610 Office, from the Jinsha Police Station and from the Xinghua Police Station collaborated to persecute practitioners on June 22, 2010. Early that morning, they arrested Ms. Chen Jizhen, Ms. Wu Liheng, Mr. Liu Huiyao and Mr. Wang Wenying, and confiscated printers, informational brochures, Falun Gong books and other personal property.
17. [Butuo County, Sichuan Province] Elderly Ms. Zhang Held in a Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Zhang was originally from Butuo County, Liangshan Prefecture and now lives in Xichang City. She was taken to the Xining Brainwashing Center in mid June 2010.

18. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yuling Died as a Result of Persecution
Ms. Wang Yuling, 66, from the Dagang District, was subjected to numerous detention terms beginning in 1999 for appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing. She was subjected to forced labor twice. While in a forced labor camp she developed a serious eye illness and leg pain and had difficulty walking. Her husband could not withstand the tremendous pressure and divorced her. Her son was overseas so she was left alone. Local police often harassed her at home and monitored her, causing her health to deteriorate.
Ms. Wang's neighbors noticed that they had not seen her for several days in April. They entered her home and found her body. It appeared that she had died from a sudden illness such as a stroke or heart attack.
