(Clearwisdom.net) During the last two years, three local Dafa practitioners who passed away from sickness karma were persecuted by the old forces. Two of them were local coordinators. From my personal viewpoint, it seems coordinator A was attached to consummation and material enjoyment, but he did fairly well with validating the Fa and saving sentient beings by helping them quit the CCP. Coordinator B was attached to fortune telling that he studied in the past, Fengshui, etc. Before his death, he had been doing Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings by helping them quit the CCP. Practitioner C studied the Fa daily, but did not do the exercises regularly and did not clarify the truth to save sentient beings by helping them quit the CCP. Speaking about the shortcomings of the three practitioners gives me a chance to discuss my personal understanding.
First, practitioner A's sickness karma was cerebral hemorrhage. It was almost midnight when I and two other practitioners learned about it. Practitioner A was unconscious when we arrived at practitioner A's home. Three of us sent forth righteous thoughts to rescue practitioner A. In the beginning we felt the energy was very powerful, that the divine army was also helping to eliminate the evil. But gradually I felt our energy was getting weak and obviously inadequate, and practitioner A passed away at dawn. During the process of sending forth righteous thoughts, I realized my own attachment of being self-centered; that is, thinking that having ample righteous thoughts alone can defeat anything instead of realizing that all practitioners must work together as one body. Actually, only through an integrated effort can our power be unchallengeable.
Second, the deaths of the fellow practitioners touched many practitioners at different levels. Some looked at it in terms of "the highest rafter rotting first" or "The one who validates the Fa and clarifies the truth more diligently will be targeted for persecution." Some thought that the persecution by the old forces was caused by the practitioners' own flaws and attachments, so that others could not help.
Fellow practitioners persecuted by the old forces, we should look at the problems according to the Fa, and not indulge our human mentality. At the end of the final stage, the Fa requirement is more stringent. When our thinking is not in accordance with the principles of the Fa, it is an incorrect state. When the old forces see the numerous flaws in many practitioners, they use it as an excuse to persecute practitioners with so-called tests. When a practitioner exhibits flaws, many practitioners talk about it behind the other person's back, criticizing him or her. This often leads to conflicts between practitioners. This is not kindness or compassion. Emotions like this feed the evil. We should compassionately point out any shortcomings. In fact, the occurrence of the incident is not an isolated issue. Whoever saw the problem should search for their own shortcomings, we should all look inward and examine ourselves. Doing this will allow us all to improve together and raise our cultivation levels as a whole.
The departure of practitioners also helps us to recognize the seriousness of cultivation. Most practitioners who have been in a prolonged karmic situation have recognized the old forces' prearrangement and accepted the persecution. Master talked about the antagonistic relationship being changed in the future. Dafa practitioner who are clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings are sacred and glorious. We should not allow the evil old forces to use any excuse to persecute us. Our impropriety should be corrected under Master's guidance and by the principles of the Fa, not by the old forces' persecution.
In addition, the old forces who persecute Dafa practitioners are creating an obstacle to saving sentient beings in ordinary society. When Dafa practitioners study the Fa rigorously, and enlighten from the Fa, only then we can travel our path of cultivation well and be able to save more sentient beings.
