(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials in Xuyong County, Sichuan Province arrested two seniors - Chen Yuzhen, who is in her seventies, and Chen Guizhen, who is in her sixties, because they practice Falun Gong.
Yan Shujun, director of the Dahuan community, deceived Chen Yuzhen into coming to the community office on July 28 2010, by using the excuse that she needed to answer some questions. Once she arrived there, Ma Yuliang from the county National Security Division and another policewoman, arrested her and took her away in a police car. They drove to Chen Yuzhen's home, ransacked the home, and confiscated ten copies of the book Zhuan Falun and more than ten DVDs with "truth clarification" materials of Falun Gong. Chen Yuzhen was subsequently detained for ten days. In the detention center, Chen Yuzhen went on a hunger strike and did not eat or drink for three days to protest the illegal arrest.
Yan Shujun, director of Dahuan community, often threatened Chen Yuzhen, saying that they would withhold her low income benefits.
Chen Guizhen is a retired worker who is in her sixties. On the morning of August 3, 2010, over ten people from Xuyong County Political and Law Committee National Security Office rushed to Chen Guizhen's home. They asked, "Are you Chen Guizhen? You need to chat with us and do some studying." Chen Guizhen said, "Study what? I will not go anywhere." She did not say anything more to them and did the sitting meditation. These people then violently dragged her from the sixth floor and forcefully put her into a police van. She was taken to the Gulin Huangjing Laolin Brainwashing Center.
