(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lixin was applying for a job at the Xiangyang Neighborhood Association of Huanan Community. In June 2010, she met the director of Bei'an Community, Ms. Xing, in the main office of Xiangyang Neighborhood Association. Xing complained, "She is a Falun Gong practitioner. How can she be hired to work here?" Therefore, Ms. Xing reported her directly to the party secretary of the neighborhood association. The party secretary located Zhang Lixin and told her, "Since you are a Falun Gong practitioner, you have to sign a guarantee statement in order to be hired here." Zhang Lixin replied, "No. I have never been asked to sign a guarantee statement in order to work in other places."
Because of the reports of the party secretary and the director of Bei'an Community, Zhang Lixin and her sister Zhang Lixian were arrested by the policemen from the 610 Office of Jilin City, the Chief of Xiangyang Police Station, and workers from the neighborhood association on July 1. They were immediately sent to Shahezi Brainwashing Center. On the evening of July 2, Zhang Lixian and Zhang Lixin were transferred to the Jilin City Detention Center. On August 12, they were transferred again to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. Because Zhang Lixian did not pass the physical exam, she was released. However, Zhang Lixin was sentenced to one year in the forced labor camp.
Currently, Zhang Lixin is emaciated due to maltreatment at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.
