(Clearwisdom.net) The "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition is being held on the campus of Taiwan University from September 21 to October 1, 2010. Forty artworks by Falun Gong practitioners are exhibited.

Lin Liyun, director of the Journalism Study Center at Taiwan University, said, "I was deeply touched by the peacefulness and uplifting power of the artworks. I am amazed that Falun Gong practitioners can keep the compassion and solid belief in the harsh environment during the persecution."

Professor Qiu Jinrong, former chair of the Department of Foreign Language, came to the exhibition. She said, "I heard about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. But I didn't know it was still going on until I came to this exhibition. I am really shocked by its brutality." She said that the exhibition exposed the facts of the persecution, and also showed practitioners' solid spirits. "The information passed by the paintings is positive and encouraging," she said.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Dr. Chen Tairan, vice president of the university, and Professor Feng Yan, gave speeches. They both highly praised the artworks. Dr. Chen said that society needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Prof. Feng talked about the positive changes that have happened to several faculty members at Taiwan University who practice Falun Gong, and the benefits that Falun Gong has brought to the university and society. Dr. Chen said that the persecution will end, and encouraged everybody to view every painting carefully and feel the positive energy. Prof. Feng encouraged the students to learn the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance from the exhibition, and be compassionate to others when expressing one's own opinion.
