(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in seven provinces. In this report, 20 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 44 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Meiqiu Persecuted in the Changchun Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp
Officers from the Xiwu Police Station in Changchun City collaborated with staff from Changchun City 610 Office in deceiving practitioners by pretending to check residence cards and then arresting them. They arrested Ms. Chen Meiqiu from Guilin Road in September, 2009. Later, Ms. Chen was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to the Changchun Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. As a result of the persecution, Chen Meiqiu is very ill. She is emaciated and her teeth have fallen out.
2. [Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xiuqin Persecuted in a Detention Center
Ms. Li Xiuqin from Tangyuan County was arrested by officers from the Jixiang Township Police Station on July 1, 2010. She was then sent to a detention center by the Tangyuan County Public Security Bureau and has been held there ever since. She has not been able to pass urine for many days, neither can she eat food. Her life is in danger.

3. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ding Fenglian and Ms. Wang Xiuzhi Jailed
Ms. Ding Fenglian and Ms. Wang Xiuzhi from Dongshan District in Hegang City were arrested by officers on August 22, 2010, while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong to the public at Xinyi Farmer's Market. Their homes were ransacked and they are being held in the Hegang City Second Detention Center.

4. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Haijun Arrested
Mr. Jiang Haijun was arrested by a dozen officers from the Changan Police Station in Jiaohe City at about 5:00 p.m. on August 24, 2010. He was taken to the Changan Police Station and later sent to Jilin City Brainwashing Center.
5. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Including Ms. Li Xiujun Arrested
Ms. Li Xiujun, Ms. Li Xiaoming, and Ms. Wang Yukun from Hailin City were arrested by officers from the Hailin City Domestic Security Division at about 5:00 a.m. on August 26, 2010.
6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Dai Qihong Persecuted
Mr. Dai Qihong is from Mudanjiang City. The guards in the Jiamusi Prison used an electric baton to shock his mouth. As a result, he has not been able to eat for over a week.
7. [Cang County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Including Mr. Liang Mowen Arrested
Mr. Liang Mowen, Mr. Bao Yumao, and Mr. Liang Moyuan from Beige Village, Litianmu Township, Cang County were arrested by Zhou Linhua and Yan Xiuwen from the Cang County Public Security Bureau Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Litianmu Police Station at about 7:00 p.m. on August 25, 2010. They are now being held in the Domestic Security Division in Cang County.
8. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Li Arrested
Ms. Li Li from Jiutai City was falsely accused while she was posting facts about Falun Gong around August 20, 2010. She was arrested by officers from the local Public Security Bureau and is now being held in a local detention center.

9. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Jiuling and Ms. Liu Guili Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Huang Jiuling and Ms. Liu Guili, who had been jailed in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushuan City, were scheduled to be released on August 26, 2010. When their families came to take them home, Dong Shiyan from the Hongtoushan Police Station took the lead and collaborated with officers from the Cangshi Police Station and staff from the security division to take Ms. Huang and Ms. Liu to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for another year of forced labor.
10. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Miao Fengmei and Ms. Miao Fenglan Arrested
Ms. Miao Fengmei, in her sixties; her sister Ms. Miao Fenglan, in her fifties; and Ms. Zhang were arrested on around August 18, 2010, while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong to the public in Benxi City. They were taken to Dabailou Detention Center.
11. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shen Lifang and Ms. Liu Xiumei Jailed in Shuangcheng Second Detention Center
Ms. Shen Lifang and Ms. Liu Xiumei from Shuangcheng City were falsely accused at about 10:00 a.m. on August 25, 2010, while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong to the public at Renhe Market in Xingshan Town. Xingshan Town Police Station Director Du Chongyue led four officers to the market and arrested Ms. Shen and Ms. Liu, who are now being held in the Shuangcheng Second Detention Center.

13. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Sun Jing Arrested
Ms. Sun Jing, from Chaiqiao Town, Beicang District, Ningbo City, was arrested at home and taken to the Ningbo Brainwashing Center on August 25, 2010.

15. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jihua and His Wife Arrested
Ms. Wang Jinhua and his wife from Pingyuan County in Dezhou City were falsely accused at about 11:30 p.m. on July 22, 2010, while they were handing out materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong in the Pingyuan County countryside. They were arrested by officers from the Koufang Township Police Station in Pingyuan County.
Only after the chief of Koufang Township Police Station extorted 8000 yuan from their children on August 23, were Mr. Wang and his wife released.
16. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
Over twenty officers from the Botou City Public Security Bureau barged into Ms. Gao Zhiying's home and took her and her husband (not a practitioner) to the Public Security Bureau at about 9:00 p.m. on August 25, 2010. Ms. Gao' s husband was released at about 11:00 p.m.
At the same time, officers from the Botou Public Security Bureau collaborated with officers from the Wenmiao Town Police Station to arrest four practitioners from Gugangzi Village, including Ms. Zhao Shuxiang, Ms. Qiu Zhenmei, and Mr. Wang Laojiu. There whereabouts are now unknown.

17. [Cangzhou, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Persecuted by City Police Officers

19. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Including Mr. Wang Fuqiang Arrested
Officers from the Xian County Public Security Bureau arrested Mr. Wang Fuqiang, Mr. Li Heping, Mr. Lu Wangjie, Mr. Gao Wenmi, Ms. Wang Yongjian, and his wife on the evening of August 25, 2010.
20. [Hebei Province] Officers from Renqiu Public Security Bureau and the Domestic Security Division Arrest Many Practitioners
Officers from the Renqiu Public Security Bureau and the Domestic Security Division collaborated with officers from the Xinhualu Police Station, the Chuan Police Station and others, to arrest five practitioners at about 10:00 p.m. on August 25, 2010. Ms. Liu Jinghui, Ms. Yin Xiaoyan, and Ms. Feng Suxia were among those arrested. Yin Xiaoyan was arrested at home by officers who barged into her home and took her Falun Gong books and children's toys.

21. [Hebei Province] Practitioners from Suning Harassed and Persecuted by Police Officers
Four officers from the Chengguan Police Station in Suning County, led by Li Zhizong, went to Ms. Xing Mingfeng's home to harass her and took dafa books and a computer amongst other items at about 9:00 p.m. on August 26, 2010.
Five officers from the Chengguan Police Station in Suning County, led by Li Zhizong and Zhang Guohong, went to Ms. Zang Jinduo's home at about 10:00 p.m. on August 26, to harass her. They took two Falun Gong books.
Zhang Hengxiang and other officers from the Fuzuo Township Police Station in Suning County went to Ms. Hou Ruxian's home to harass her at about 9:00 p.m. on August 26. They took three Falun Gong books.
Eight or nine officers from the Chengguan Police Station in Suning County, led by the Chengguan Police Station chief, went to Mr. Zhang Junming's home to harass him at about 11:00 p.m. on August 26. The officers took Falun Gong books and an MP3 player.
22. [Hejian City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Genyuan's Home Ransacked
Four or five officers from the Shucheng Town Police Station barged into Mr. Ma Genyuan's home in Nanliang Village, Shucheng Town at about 6:00 a.m. on August 26, 2010, when Mr. Ma was still asleep. They took Falun Dafa books, photos of Falun Dafa founder Li Hongzhi, and other items.

Officers from Zhaoyuan City 610 Office arrested Ms. Fang Cuirong and her sister Ms. Fang Cuijie at Cuirong's home at Wenjia Village, Linglong Town, Zhaoyuan City on August 24, 2010. They also ransacked Cuirong's home.
