(Clearwisdom.net) During the Fa-rectification period, we must do all of the three things required by Master every day. Anyone using any excuse to justify his doing just one or two things is not genuinely cultivating. As such, he cannot elevate himself no matter how well he persists in studying the Fa at home. Our cultivation is different from any other kind in history. If anyone still has trouble accepting the mandate of doing all three things, he does not have a good understanding of the requirements for Fa-rectification period cultivation.

First, we must persist in Fa study.

I only cared about the speed of my Fa study in the past. I was able to read the Fa fast and accurately, yet I never measured myself against the Fa. As a result, I had numerous questions about everything. I didn’t know why I was persecuted and lost my job. I barely made ends meet by doing odd jobs in a different city, so my hope to make more money evaporated. At times I had to borrow money from my parents, who subsequently blamed Dafa for my situation, even though they were previously very supportive of my practice. Seeing that I was struggling at the bottom of the social spectrum, some of my friends tried to avoid me whenever possible. They, however, did hold positive attitudes towards Dafa in the past. I had my own truth-clarification materials production site, and I had no trouble clarifying the facts to people. However, I wasn’t able to convince my family and my friends. I felt hopeless back then.

While in despair, I read some experience sharing articles published on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) that discussed memorizing the Fa, and I decided to give it a try. The outcome was truly miraculous! While memorizing the Fa, I enlightened to many Fa principles. After I finished memorizing Zhuan Falun, I turned to Master’s articles and lectures from various sources. At first I had to force myself to memorize Zhuan Falun, but once I made it through the initial phase, it got much better. I found that I enjoyed memorizing the Fa more and more and was able to do it faster and faster. Layer upon layer of Fa principles revealed themselves to me, and I was in awe of cultivation itself. I realized that the persecution of Dafa disciples was the old forces targeting our human notions, and that Master never acknowledged their arrangements. We can negate such persecution as long as we follow Master’s requirements to do all of the three things well. I have enlightened to the understanding that what Master says is the Fa, and also principles that every being in the universe must follow. If Dafa disciples follow Master’s requirements, no one can stop us, as whoever tries to interfere is committing a crime and will be destroyed by Fa-guarding gods.

Second, we should look within unconditionally.

As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, we must look within unconditionally in everything we do. While cultivating, we will likely make mistakes. Whenever we encounter conflicts or have trouble following Master’s requirements, we should look within to see what attachments we still have, regardless of how justifiable they may appear on the surface. How do we measure ourselves against the Fa and look within? If we spot other people’s attachments, we look within to identify similar issues we may also have. When we see strengths in other people, we try to find our gaps. Anytime we have trouble, we should try to determine if we have had any unrighteous thoughts before, during, or after the incident. This way we can work hard to remove anything not conforming to the Fa. I do this exercise every day so as to cultivate myself proactively.

With constant Fa study and looking within, I am able to do the three things better, and I can feel my improvement every day. Now that I have a much clearer understanding of the requirements of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, I enjoy a harmonious relationship with my family and am a well-paid key employee of my new company. People trust me when I clarify the facts, and some of my colleagues have already withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and its affiliated organizations, with my help. I also joined a Fa-study group and was able to see more of my shortcomings during my interaction with fellow practitioners. I have also realized that I still need to catch up in the area of face-to-face truth clarification.

When I didn’t know how to cultivate in the past, I was always afraid of being persecuted, and it was so hard to suppress my fear. I now feel that I am finally in the door of cultivation. Of course, I am still far behind when compared to other practitioners who have been walking steadily on the path of Fa-rectification period cultivation. I wrote this article because I noticed there are still some people who are like the old me, not really clear about how to truly cultivate. I hope this article sheds some light in this regard.
