(Clearwisdom.net) Several practitioners in Tongren City, Guizhou Province have recently been illegally arrested by local police.
In early November 2010, personnel from the 610 Office of Dalong Town, Yuping County, Guizhou Province, together with officers from the Domestic Security Division and the local police station, illegally arrested about 30 practitioners. They held a brainwashing session in the nursing home for the elderly in Dalong Town to persecute these practitioners.
Practitioner Jiang Qirong from Yuping County, Guizhou Province had a warrant issued for his arrest, and was forced to leave his home in order to avoid persecution. He was arrested however on November 16 in Hunan Province. Mr. Jiang is currently detained at the Tongren Detention Center. Because he couldn't endure the torture, he told police information about other practitioners in Tongren, who were then subsequently monitored and arrested by police.
Practitioners Yao Jinping and Huang Mingxian from Yuping County were arrested on December 1. They were released on December 2, but the next day they were arrested again and sent to a brainwashing center in Dalong Town, Yuping County. When their families sent them some daily necessities, they were told that these two practitioners had been sent to the Wanshang District Detention Center in Tongren. When they were arrested, their families had 500 yuan extorted from each of them.
Ms. Zhang, 72, is from Tongren. Her home was searched by police, one of whom was a woman with the last name Long, who treated Ms. Zhang badly. They confiscated some personal belongings, including Dafa books and videos. Because Ms. Zhang is in her seventies and her family bailed her out, she was released, but she is under constant surveillance and is not allowed to go out.
Long Zhenping and Wu from Tongren were reported by some people when they were discussing the facts about Falun Dafa with people in Jiangkou County in mid-November. They have been detained at the Tongren Detention Center. It was discovered that the local government plans to hold an illegal trial for these practitioners. The cases have been submitted to the Tongren Procuratorate, and the court in Tongren will soon secretly try them.
