(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Men Hongfen was sentenced to a four-year prison term in January 2011. Her husband, Chi Weiguo, died on January 16 as a result of grief.

Ms. Men wouldn't give up practicing Falun Dafa and told people the facts about it. She was arrested many times by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents, and has been arrested three times by the Daxingdian Police Department since 2005, and forcibly taken to brainwashing centers.

On April 7, 2010, Ms. Men and practitioners Yu Guixiang and Zhang Xiuhua went to Daxingdian Town Market to tell people about Dafa. They were arrested by plainclothes police officers, taken to Penglai City in the afternoon, and detained in the Magezhuang Brainwashing Center for 13 days.

Ms. Men was again persecuted by the CCP agents on May 10, 2010, because she told people about Falun Gong. She was forced to stay away from her home to avoid being illegally arrested. Her husband, Chi Weiguo, previously was deaf. After he began practicing Falun Gong he was able to hear again, but due to continuous harassment by the CCP, he got sick and had to be hospitalized.

In mid-December 2010, Ms. Men, who had stayed away from home for months, was arrested by the police when she was taking care of her husband in Penglai Herbal Medical Hospital. She was then taken to the Penglai City Detention Center and sentenced to a four-year prison term in January this year.
