Liu Jinying
Several police officers from Laishui County, Hebei Province, knocked on the door of Falun Gong practitioner Liu Jinying's home at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, pretending that they were there to inspect the water meter. They questioned Liu Jinying about where she had been, while making a record of what she said, and then took her away. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
Liu Jinying, the former deputy secretary of the Appeals Office in Laishui County, was previously sentenced to serve a five year jail term by a Laishui County Court because she practiced Falun Dafa. She refused to write a guarantee statement renouncing the practice, and she was brutally tortured in prison to the point of mental disorder.
Several years after she was released, Liu Jinying is still not fully recovered from her ordeal. Her work unit suspended her salary and therefore she has no income. As a consequence, her child’s schooling is dependent on Liu Jinying's father and her younger brother. While she was detained, Liu Jinying's husband, who was formerly the dean of Laishui local taxation office, was sentenced to a 15-year prison term, also for practicing Falun Dafa. He is still detained in Shijiazhuang Prison.
While Zhang Dongsheng and Liu Jinying were being persecuted, Liu Jinying’s father-in-law died due to the trauma he experienced over the persecution of his son and daughter-in-law. After Liu Jinying returned home, her mother-in-law and her own mother also passed away. Her mother-in-law wanted to see her son, who had been detained in prison for many years, but she was not able to fulfill her wish before she passed away.
Details of some of the persecution experienced are as follows: Police officer Ge Shuguang from Hebei Female Prison ordered criminals to take turns beating Liu Jinying. Swindler Zuo Maomao taped Lu Jinying's eyelids, stepped on her toe nails, and often grabbed Liu Jinying’s hair and slammed her against the wall. Zuo also beat Liu Jinying's chest and twisted her nipples to the point of bleeding. Before Liu Jinying recovered, Zuo twisted her nipples again and caused them to bleed again. Wearing shoes, Zuo also kicked Liu Jinying's legs and they became so swollen that she could not wear her pants. Zuo often beat Liu Jinying around the eyes and mouth with shoes, to the point of bleeding, and her face was covered with black and blue bruises. Zuo forced Liu to stand on a stool and tortured her with the method of “flying an airplane,” and other brutal tortures.

On October 16, 2003, Liu Jinying was transferred to the Taihang Jail from Shijiazhuang No. 2 Prison. She suffered various tortures and drug administration in both Taihang Jail and Shijiazhuang Prison. She was monitored by criminals, endured repetitive solitary confinement, was forced to wear instruments of torture, received electric baton shocks, had nylon strings tied to her ankles, was deprived of sleep, deprived of restroom use, and was kicked and beaten.
Prison guards ordered criminals to drench her with water. Several criminals dragged her and forced unknown drugs into her mouth and would not give her any water. Under extremely painful conditions, she had to drink urine from the toilet. Long term harm from the drugs made her lose a lot of her hair. Her teeth became loose and her skin changed color. In an attempt to dilute the drugs, she had to pick leftovers out of the trash to fill her stomach.
After five years of unjust imprisonment, Liu Jinying was still constantly harassed by the Laishui 610 Office and the police station. Liu Jinying has now again been arrested. Her daughter, who has graduated from college, is frightened by the persecution and doesn't know what to do.
Liu Jinying and her husband wanted only to practice Falun Dafa and be respectable and useful people in society. Instead, the persecution instigated by the Chinese Communist Party has led to this couple having a broken family, and family members dying. We appeal to the international community to pay attention to this matter.
Laishui County brainwashing sessions are still underway. The township government and police still search everywhere and arrest Falun Gong practitioners day and night.
