(Clearwisdom.net) While personnel from Wanzhou District in Chongqing City have been actively announcing the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) new constitution to “protect” citizens' freedom of belief, the 610 Office secretly arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wan Xinlin and held him at a local brainwashing center.
In September 2011, the Wanzhou District's CCP mobilized all levels of its organizations to hold meetings with local residents and Party members to announce the contents of a document issued by higher level CCP officials. The document was about the newly-modified constitution passed by the Chinese National People's Congress, which claims to guarantee Chinese citizens their freedom of belief. At the same time, they also announced that CCP members weren't allowed to believe in any religion or practice Falun Gong.
The CCP is up to its old tricks. When has the CCP ever stayed true to its words? Every document issued by the CCP is used to deceive its citizens. While the CCP secretaries were making their speeches, personnel from the Wanzhou District's Politics and Law Committee, the 610 Office, and officers from Gaoliang Town Police Station arrested Mr. Wan without a proper warrant or any evidence. They took him to the Wanzhou District Brainwashing Center, where he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. It has been more than 20 days since his hunger strike began, and his health is now extremely poor.
Mr. Wan started practicing Falun Gong in 1998 and benefited both physically and mentally. Since the CCP began its persecution of Falun Gong, he has been regularly targeted for persecution. In 2008, he was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor. In August 2010, he was taken to a brainwashing center by the Wanzhou District police officers. In early September 2011, personnel from the Wanzhou District Politics and Law Committee and the 610 Office arrested him and took him to the Wanzhou District Brainwashing Center.
