(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, I enlightened to a Fa principle that I would like to to share with fellow practitioners. As practitioners, if we are to really be effective in helping one another, we have to maintain righteous thoughts in all that we do. Our first thought is most critical. In our area, cooperation with each other has improved a lot. We know to look inside whenever a problem arises. However, there is still one more issue to consider. When I am aware that a practitioner is not doing well, what should be my first thought?
The following are recent situations I have encountered in cultivation that I wish to share with everyone:
Situation #1: Several of us were discussing how to go about distributing truth clarification materials. Two practitioners lived in the same area and there was concern that they might duplicate efforts if the activity was not well coordinated. One practitioner said, “No, duplication will not occur because she will not even come out to distribute the materials!” My response was, “Why wouldn't she?” I felt somewhat annoyed and looked down upon the practitioner who was talked about. Then I realized that I should instead clear out the negative elements that prevented her from stepping forward.
Situation #2: When one of the practitioners in our area was arrested, we asked what the practitioner did wrong, which was justifying the persecution. Our first reaction should have been to negate the arrangements of the old forces and examine ourselves to see what attachments we possessed. Perhaps we had not cherished the shared cultivation environment. We are more mature now and know how to look inward. We learned that we must cultivate solidly so that our first thought would always be righteous. We must have righteous thoughts.
Situation #3: At a group study, two practitioners argued about something. Immediately, I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear out the evil elements around them and to resolve the conflict.
As cultivators, if we really want to help other practitioners, we should purify our hearts and rectify our thoughts. We must try to clear out the evil elements that cause interference, while continuing to look inside. We should strengthen fellow practitioners with righteous thoughts, instead of blaming them. We should truly eliminate conflicts between practitioners and cooperate with each other. This is being responsible for the Fa and saving sentient beings.
The above is my limited understanding. Kindly point out anything inappropriate.
