14. The Power of Sending Righteous Thoughts
Master said, “Send righteous thoughts, and rotten demons explode” (“What’s to Fear?” Hong Yin Volume II) I gained a deep understanding about this principle of the Fa. In 2008, the evil regime started another round of desperate persecution, with their excuse being that of ensuring the Olympic Games.
One day, while in deep tranquility, I saw that I was walking on a road in a boundless wilderness. I suddenly saw a train stopped there, and the entire train looked like a big python with its mouth opened. The people in the train came out from the engine (the python's mouth); they lined up and rushed toward me. The one in the front was a man that looked like a high official. He suddenly turned into a big evil spirit when he was about three meters from me and tried to attack me. At the moment he revealed his true identity, all the other people also turned into demons and monsters. By instinct, I lifted my right palm to eliminate the evils. One minute later, that big evil spirit exploded first and the rest of the rotten ghosts exploded one after another like lit firecrackers. The explosion lasted for a long time, and I kept eliminating the evils. I did not know from when, but a child was following me at my side. It cried, “I am afraid; I am afraid!” I lowered my head and took a look at it; this was taken advantage of by the evil to sneak in. From the train ran out another man. He was stronger than the first one, and my right palm immediately felt a very strong pressure pushing it back. The situation lasted for probably half-an-hour, and I felt that its strength was reducing. It also exploded when I could no longer feel its push. During the time of the Olympic Games, I did not encounter any interferences and continued doing the three things smoothly.
There was another experience I will share. The head of the police department and the head of the police station walked in the building I resided. At the moment I was explaining the truth to the building security and urging him to withdraw from the evil party and its affiliated organizations. I saw two rotten ghosts on the chief's body. I immediately walked after him, and at the same time sent powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate the ghosts. I stopped him right before he was about to get into his car. I asked him to come in the room; at the same time I kept sending righteous thought to eliminate the evil spirit on his body. I then explained the truth to him. He was saved. He said he would ask to leave the post of persecuting Falun Gong as soon as he went back. Whenever it was one of the so-called sensitive dates, the evil spirits in other dimensions would come out to create disturbances. As soon as I put up my right palm to send righteous thoughts, they were so frightened that they fell into the shape of all kinds of poisonous insects in this human space. These kind of insects must be eliminated. That I was able to do the three things smoothly during these years was related to paying attention to sending righteous thoughts!
15. Eliminate the Interference by Looking Within for the Reason
Master said:
“I have asked disciples to send forth righteous thoughts, because those so-called evil beings are in fact nothing. Yet because the old forces have taken advantage of Dafa disciples’ mercy, the evil beings that are protected by the old forces have been deliberately persecuting, so what Dafa disciples are enduring is no longer just their own karma, but something they should not endure under the evil beings’ persecution. Yet these evil beings are extremely base and filthy, and are not worthy of playing any role in the Fa-rectification. In order to lessen the persecution of Dafa and Dafa disciples, I have asked disciples to send forth righteous thoughts to clear away the damage these beings deliberately do to the Fa-rectification, thereby lessening what Dafa disciples should not endure during the persecution and, at the same time, saving all sentient beings and consummating Dafa disciples’ paradises.” (“The Effect of Righteous Thoughts” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
On September 5, 2011, I sent righteous thoughts in high density because the evil party's sensitive date of “October 1” was coming. The evil spirit and rotten ghosts were also putting up a last-ditch struggle. On September 5 and 6, I felt a huge pressure. I heard someone say, “The police departments of the two large provinces had set up special case teams, separately. They cooperated with each other and wanted to investigate me!” Facing the huge pressure, I knew that I had omissions. I looked inside for the reason and found my jealousy, mentalities of showing off and competition, an attachment to personal interests, and the mentality of considering myself better than others in cultivation. I started uprooting and eliminating these attachments in my spacial field. Soon, the auspicious feeling I previously had returned to me again.
However, another two situations occurred next. In the evening on September 8, 2011, I delivered Master's new scripture to a fellow practitioner. She accused me as soon as she saw me, “Why did you write in the article you sent to the Minghui website that I was sent to a labor camp for three years, when I was actually sent to the labor camp for two years?” I explained, “I will look inside for reason. I know your situation well, and I should not have written three years.” On the way back home I was pleased with myself, thinking that I was able to peacefully face the misunderstanding and accusation. At 11:55 p.m. the same night, right before I was starting to send righteous thoughts, my husband came in the room suddenly and scolded me, “You told a lie.”
The following morning, I read this Fa,
“When you meet with a conflict, it doesn’t matter whether you are in the right. You should be asking yourself, 'What on my part isn’t right in this situation? Might it really be that there is something wrong on my part?' You should all be thinking this way, with your first thought being to scrutinize yourself to try to find the problem. Whoever is not like this is not in fact a true cultivator of Dafa.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple”)
When I read to here, I suddenly felt that I was not truly cultivating myself. In the two happenings of the previous night I had a hidden attachment of setting myself above others, and in my first thought I did not consider whether I had done something wrong. So I started looking inside. At last, I found my attachments. Before cultivation I had formed the habit of talking about things with exaggeration. This attachment was hidden after I started cultivation, and I was not able to find it in the 12 years after I started cultivation. I also found a mistake I made. In an article I sent to the Minghui website, I put three years instead of two years; I was being really irresponsible! I immediately discarded those attachments and sent a message to the editors of Minghui to correct the mistake.
I kept reading the Fa and came to understand Master's teaching,
“If Dafa disciples want to save the lives of the cosmos, if they want to save sentient beings in this complex setting of society at the final stage, can you imagine how hard that is? If you could see it—truly see it—it would be simply too frightening. But, as long as you go by Dafa, go by what Master has told you, you will have a path to walk, and that will be something nobody can change. But the path will be very narrow—narrow to the extent that only if you are extremely righteous will things work out and will you manage to save people. Only if you can go about things in an extremely righteous manner will there be no problems.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple”)
When I understood this principle of the Fa, the pressure disappeared, and the entire spatial field returned to tranquilly. Through this experience, I deeply felt that it would be safest if one is in the Fa. In this way Master eliminated this huge tribulation that the old forces wanted to inflict on me!
An earlier version of this article had been submitted on September 14, 2011. However, I felt that I had a mentality of “the task is finished” in my mind. If I could not discard this mentality, the article would not be pure; so I decided to revise it and submit it again. I truly experienced that, “The process of writing the cultivation experience sharing article and the process of overcoming the difficulties in submitting the article are also processes of cultivation enhancement.” In writing this article I had experienced various interferences. For instance, as soon as I received the notice soliciting experience sharing articles, some ordinary things came up that I had to tend to. Also interferences kept coming from my family members.
16. Clarifying the Truth When People Visited for the Holidays
During the past month, because I moved into a new residence and because of the Mid-Autumn Festival, people kept visiting me and bringing presents. I considered them as predestined people and expressed my gratitude to them; but I politely declined to accept their gifts. With compassion I thanked them for their kindness and explained to them the reason why I do not accept gifts. I then clarified the truth to them and gave them informational materials. One hundred percent of them withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. When I gave them the truth-clarification materials and asked them to take the materials to their family members, they all agreed to do so.
No matter how difficult the future path will be, I will firmly cultivate in Dafa and follow Master's teachings, and I will do the three things well at a steady pace. Thanks to Master for His salvation! Thanks to fellow practitioners for their help and cooperation!
