(Clearwisdom.net) Fellow practitioners often remind each other that our hearts should not be moved when something happens or has already happened. However, I often fail to do well in this regard.
Recently, I couldn't see clearly through one of my eyes. If I had negated it in the first place, sent forth righteous thoughts, and looked inward, I would have passed the test. However, I failed to do that and became really scared by the false phenomenon. Human thoughts continuously emerged, and I didn't know what to do. I then asked myself if this phenomenon was normal. I realized that it must be the evil forces in other dimensions using my loophole to persecute me. I then sat down and sent forth righteous thoughts.
Looking at the surface, I couldn't concentrate when studying the Fa or stay calm when sending forth righteous thoughts, and I failed to discuss the facts about Falun Dafa with my heart. The root cause of the interference was my attachment to affection that allowed the evil to take advantage of me. When looking deeper, I asked myself why I always looked at and treated anything that happened with human thoughts. Why didn't I remember the Fa and act as a practitioner at critical moments?
Initially, I thought I was solid in studying and understanding the Fa principles. From this experience, I realized that was not the case. During a tribulation, the amount of Fa study, one's xinxing level, and how much one believes in Teacher and the Fa are all clearly displayed. There is nothing accidental in our cultivation. What happened to me showed that I didn't do well in studying the Fa, my xinxing level wasn't high, and I didn't believe in Teacher and the Fa as much as I originally thought. If I had assimilated to the Fa, always handled myself as a practitioner, and had strong righteous belief in Teacher and Dafa, what was happening to me probably wouldn't have occurred. Even if it did happen, I would've handled with it with ease.
I also enlightened from this incident that if our heart remains calm when encountering tribulations, it is a test of our ability to overcome all interfering thoughts in our cultivation. It is also important that we look at an incident from a big picture perspective and cultivate divine thoughts. When our divine thoughts emerge, human thoughts and attachments won't surface since good or evil comes from a person’s spontaneous thought. However, if, instead, our human thoughts emerge, attachments will surface. As practitioners, we should handle issues righteously and not treat ourselves as everyday people.
