(Clearwisdom.net) At the end of the year 2000, I was sixteen years old, and went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. At that time, the Chinese propaganda machine controlled by Jiang Zemin and the CCP slandered Falun Gong rampantly nationwide.
Those slandering Falun Gong would not have much influence if they had the opportunity to read Zhuan Falun. In those evil days, I happened to have the chance to read this book. I believed if people could put down their prejudice and read Zhuan Falun with a calm mind, all the lies would be refuted. At that time I had just read the book once, and realized that Falun Gong is really good, and Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are really good. No wonder so many intellectuals were learning Falun Gong. No wonder Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal and tell people the truth about Falun Gong one after another despite the slander and torture.
Three months later, I got on a train and went to Beijing to appeal.
At that time, many Falun Gong practitioners were trying to clarify the negative reports about Falun Gong. They went to related government offices at country, city and province levels to clarify the truth. But no one at those offices wanted to find out the truth. Some Falun Gong practitioners were arrested. We did not have a place to tell the truth, so we went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people who were deceived and to the government in this peaceful way.
I just had one simple thought: If I did not go to Beijing to tell the truth about Falun Gong, I would regret it all my life. I knew I could be arrested, tortured, even beaten to death just for going to Beijing. Facing this danger, I chose to safeguard my conscience. I wanted to use my life to show that Falun Dafa is good to those people who misunderstood Falun Gong or were poisoned by the CCP's propaganda. I went to Beijing to appeal with this compassionate thought which came about after I practiced Falun Gong.
In Beijing I was arrested and tortured mentally and physically. I felt the terror that my life could be threatened and my body could be tortured at any time.
At the end of that year I was detained in an unknown detention center. Police and thugs hired to persecute Falun Gong practitioners forced me to take off my footwear and stand on the cement floor in the yard. They poured cold water on my feet, and left me standing there. They also forced me to pick up cigarette butts in the crowded streets in an attempt to humiliate me. In the evening they forced me to remove my clothing and stand in a drafty place, and threatened to take off a layer of clothing every half hour. I don't remember how long I stood there wearing only a shirt. Later I was taken to a torture chamber. I cannot describe the specific torture instruments they used. I only remember those instruments filled me with terror. They tried to use this to make me afraid and break my will. But they did not succeed in the end. Even though I had only practiced Falun Gong for three months at that time, the truth was rooted inside me deeply. I knew these people had been deceived and controlled by the CCP. There is nothing wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance! Believing in these principles is not a crime! We are upright and the truth will be revealed one day. Those people who beat innocent, peaceful Falun Gong practitioners are the real people one should pity.
I was taken to a prison and then transferred to several places. Meanwhile I was cursed, tortured with coldness, spit on, physically abused and mentally tormented. At that time I was just a kid.
No matter how brutal the persecution or how long it has gone on, Falun Gong practitioners have not disappeared. Falun Dafa has spread around the world. This is because everyone acknowledges Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Although I and many other Falun Gong practitioners have suffered unimaginable hardship, we will not stop trying to wake up people's consciences with sincerity and compassion and save those innocent people who have been poisoned by the CCP.
In the several years since I have been at home, I have gradually removed the shadows in my heart left by my persecution experience. I told my classmates and people on the street about my experiences, and about the persecution suffered by other Falun Gong practitioners. I disclosed the various lies made by the CCP. As long as people know the truth of Falun Gong and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, they will be saved. We are not afraid of being laughed at, and will not give up any chance to save people no matter what the conditions. Sometimes, when Falun Gong practitioners compassionately tell people the truth in a crowd, they are mocked and scorned. The practitioners do not care. They still try hard to clarify the truth to save that person. This action itself shows the truth. They do not want money and do not seek anything in return, but do it just to save that person.
I have said many times to people who do not understand us "We are not stupid. Why do we not care when you mock us and why do we still try hard to tell you the truth about Falun Gong and to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations? Because the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa and this is a heinous crime. Anyone who follows the CCP will face a terrible future. Millions of people have recognized this truth and quit the CCP to secure their safety. If you do not want bad things to happen to you, then quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations now and learn the truth about Falun Gong!”
