(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, four practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Leqing, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Huang Qingdeng Arrested

Mr. Huang Qingdeng, in his 70s, was illegally arrested at his home at around 8 a.m. on May 10.

2. [Hefei, Anhui Province] Ms. Peng Yujuan Arrested

Hefei 610 Office arrested Ms. Peng Yujuan, a retired cadre from the University of Science and Technology of China on April 28, 2011. Ms. Peng is held at the Hefei 2nd Detention Center.

3. [Jinhua, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Bao Xiaomei, Ms. Jin Peizhen and Mr. Zhang Wanfei Sentenced

Wucheng District Court of Jinhua City sentenced three practitioners in early April 2011. Ms. Bao Xiaomei was sentenced to a seven-year term, Mr. Zhang Wanfei to four years and Ms. Jin Peizhen to three years.

4. [Huludao, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wen Zhiming Imprisoned

Officers from the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division and the Police Patrol Team ransacked Mr. Wen Zhiming's home on April 27, 2011. They confiscated his computer, printer and truth clarification materials. Mr. Wen was held for eight days at the Suizhong Detention House before being transferred to the Suizhong Detention Center.

5. [Chongzhou, Sichuan Province] Police Officers Arrested Mr. Liu Xueming, in his 60s, at his Home Around May 7, 2011

6. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Dengjiang Transferred to Handan Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Ma Dengjiang from Baishan, Yi County was transferred from the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp to the 2nd team of the Handan Forced Labor Camp.

7. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Chihua Held at Militia Base of the Armed Forces

Mr. Li Chihua from Dongxihu National Tax Bureau was arrested on May 9, 2011. He is now held at the Militia Base of the Armed Forces, Zawan No. 41, Xihu 1st team of the Baiquan Farm.

8. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Xia Arrested

Three plainclothes officers arrested Ms. Wang Xia on her way home and took her to the Timian Brainwashing Center.

9. [Pengzhou, Sichuan Province] 610 Office Arrests Ms. Zhou Yuexin and Ms. Zhang Zhifen

Liu Zhengfeng of the Mengyang Town 610 Office ordered several people to arrest Ms. Zhou Yuexin, in her 60s, at her home. She lives at the Laoer Team, Nanfo Village, Sanyixiang, Mengyang Town. They took her to a brainwashing center. Ms. Zhang Zhifen from Sanyixiang was also arrested and taken to the same brainwashing center.

10. [Linli County, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Guiying Held in a Brainwashing Center

The 610 Office arrested Ms. Zhu Guiying from the Water Power Station at Baizhixiang of Linli County at around 10 a.m. on May 10. Ms. Zhu is held at the Changde Brainwashing Center.

11. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Cuilan Arrested

Officers from the Dawulanxiang Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Yuqin, Ms. Fan Cuizhi and Ms. Xu Cuilan when they were talking with people about Falun Gong at Hepingzhuang, Dawulanxiang. Ms. Zhang Yuqin was later released. Ms. Fan Cuizhi and Ms. Xu Cuilan are held at the Qinglong Detention Center.
