(Clearwisdom.net) There is a village about 10 miles south of Qianxi County in Hebei Province. This story is about two brothers who live in the village.
The older brother married when he was young. The brothers were still quite young when their parents passed away, and the younger brother wasn't married at that time, so the older brother and his wife took good care of him. The younger brother respected him and his sister-in-law. Later, someone played matchmaker for the younger brother. During the process of finding a wife for the him, the older brother and his wife offered that the house that they'd inherited from their parents also belonged to the younger brother. Soon after, the younger brother got married and his brother and sister-in-law were pleased.
After the younger brother got married, his wife claimed that the older brother and sister-in-law had no ownership of the house, and the younger brother also refused to let the older brother and sister-in-law share the house, claiming that it belonged solely to him. This made the older brother and sister-in-law furious, and they said that the younger brother had lost his conscience. The two families then became enemies.
The brothers ended their relationship, and the villagers were very concerned. They tried to help resolve the problem many times, but all their efforts failed. Both families insisted that they were right, and the conflict continued for over thirty years.
In late spring of 1999, the villagers heard that these two families had reconciled. They were very surprised, and many asked how this happened.
During the spring of 1999, the wife of the older brother started practicing Falun Dafa. She thought that since she was a cultivator of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, if she didn't even communicate with her brother-in-law, then how could she be considered a practitioner? She asked her husband several times to reconcile with the younger brother. The younger brother was building a new house that year, so the older brother and his wife went to help. At first, the younger brother refused to talk to them, as if they were invisible. After the work was done, they only offered meals to other people who'd helped, but not to the older brother and his wife. However, the older brother and his wife didn't complain. They started working the moment that they arrived at the building site, then went back home to eat since no food was offered to them. After their meal, they went back to the younger brother's home to help again. This process lasted for about one week. Their actions as practitioners finally dissolved the younger brother's anger, and the two families reconciled.
This story spread among the villagers, and many were impressed by the goodness of Falun Dafa.
