(Clearwisdom.net) Four Falun Gong practitioners from Changchun were arrested in Shuangchengbao Town, Siping City, Jilin Province on June 5, 2011. Mr. Feng Kui was shot by the police. The following is what we have learned about the incident.
Mr. Feng Kui, his wife Ms. Song Xiuwei, Mr. Zhao Baoshan, and Mr. Yang Bin were arrested on June 5, 2011. Officers from the Gongzhuling Domestic Security Team and the Shuangchengbao Police Station participated in the arrest. According to the chief of the Gongzhuling Domestic Security Team, Mr. Feng was sent to the Gongzhuling Detention Center, Ms. Song was sent to Siping Women's Prison, and Messrs. Zhao and Yang were sent to the Changchun Second and Third Detention Centers, respectively.
Officers from the Luyuan Police Department, the Gongzhuling Domestic Security Team, and the local police station ransacked Mr. Feng's and Mr. Zhao's residences. The police broke into Mr. Feng's home at 5:00 p.m. on June 5, 2011. No one was at home, and they pried the window open, entered the room, and grabbed the child's computer. The police then went to the home of Mr. Feng's older brother and took a DVD player, a set of Master Li's lectures, and a Falun Dafa book. Mr. Zhao's home was ransacked twice. The first time was on the afternoon of June 5, 2011, and the other time was unclear. The police did not list any items they removed, so it's difficult to estimate the cost of the loss. Mr. Yang's car was also confiscated by the Gongzhuling Police Department.
Ms. Song and Mr. Yang were first arrested on June 5, 2011. Witnesses stated they saw a woman being dragged into a police vehicle. Mr. Feng was arrested as he went searching for his wife. At that time, he held a flyer he'd received at a market and followed the police vehicle. Upon being sighted by police, he was immediately surrounded. He managed to break free but found himself in a dead end alley. During the ensuing chase, police shot him as he ran and he fell. As he lay in the middle of the road, his ears, face, and neck were covered in blood. A stray bullet struck a repair shop in the alley.
Mr. Feng was sent to the local Guangming Hospital where the director verified that he had been shot.
