(Clearwisdom.net) I have experienced Falun Dafa's magnificence several times since I started practicing in April 1999. Today I want to share my experience of being blessed as a result of knowing Falun Dafa.

I am a teacher. The most important thing for a high school teacher in Mainland China is his or her professional evaluation. A teacher's salary and benefits are directly tied to the evaluation, so it is very common for teachers to compete and fight against each other when professional evaluations roll around every year.

In 1997, I had not yet started to practice Falun Dafa. That year I was qualified for the title of middle-rank professional, but a limit of only two or three of these titles was given to our school, and there were many teachers who were qualified for the promotion. I knew that I would not get it even though I bribed the person in charge. To show that I was qualified, I got a middle-rank professional title from a school in the countryside where the principal was a friend of my brother.

In September of that year, my middle-rank professional title was granted. At the end of October, I began to suffer from rheumatic sciatica.

Sometimes I could not get out of bed in the morning. In the classroom, I could barely stand, and my left leg became numb after walking only 100 meters. I was given various treatments, but nothing helped. Later, the rheumatism affected my heart as well. I felt terrible, particularly when it rained. I had to endure so much suffering!

In April 1999, I started to practice Falun Gong. The rheumatic sciatica went away in just a few days and I experienced a wonderful feeling without illness.

My heart and mind opened up through reading the main teachings of Falun Dafa in Zhuan Falun. I now had a completely new understanding of the repercussions of getting my middle-rank professional title illegally: I had exchanged the title for my health. It was not worth it!

In September 2003, I was qualified to get a high-rank professional title, but the subject I taught was not that important. Even teachers who teach important subjects often don’t have a chance to get a high-rank professional title, so I thought I would never get one.

In 2006, the education system was reformed. The difference in salary between a high-rank title and a middle-rank title was 300 yuan per month. This time, I did not forget that I was a practitioner and should handle personal gain accordingly. I believed what Teacher said:

“If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it.” (Zhuan Falun)

I did not even think of bribing the principal or pulling any strings like I did before. This was how it was for several years.

In September 2008, a new quota for high-rank professional titles was given to our school.

The principal asked every teacher who was qualified to apply. I had been qualified since September 2003, but I had not applied during that time. I thought that, since the principal had asked this year, I would apply. I submitted my documents and did not think much more about it. One afternoon when I was teaching, a teacher came to me and said that the principal wanted me to come to his office. When I got there, several teachers were already there waiting for me. The principal said I had the most seniority and was therefore granted a high-rank professional title.

Later, I heard that several teachers in charge of another class were angry when they found out that they did not get a high-rank professional title. Other teachers who taught important subjects were very surprised that I got it. Some of them thought that I must have bribed the principal. In our current society, if you do not have influence behind the scenes, do not bribe someone, or do not pull some strings, it is almost impossible to get something like that.

Later, at a teachers’ conference, the principal made the following comment regarding the professional evaluations: "Some people do not fight for renown or benefits and teach any assigned subject without complaint. They never come to me to complain. They deserve to receive the high-rank professional title." I knew the principal was talking about me.

The reason I do not fight for personal gain and teach any assigned subject without complaint is because I am a Falun Dafa practitioner! I was able to validate the Fa through my daily actions.
