(Clearwisdom.net) I am a 60 year-old female farmer. Before I began practicing Falun Gong, I led a hard and stressful life due to my bad health and the poor living conditions of my family. The stress in my life fortunately came to an end when I learned about Falun Gong. In only three months of practicing Falun Gong, all my diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, liver blood supply deficiency, chronic diarrhea and gastric inflammation, headaches, and insomnia disappeared. I never realized how enjoyable a life free from illness could be. In addition, Falun Gong broadened my mind and gave me insight, as it opened my eyes to the truth, and helped me realize that the true meaning of life is to return to one's original self. Teacher saved me from the fear of death and illuminated the path to my true home with his teachings of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” I am so fortunate, and I made up my mind to follow the cultivation path arranged by Teacher until I attain consummation.

When I first read the book Zhuan Falun in 2005, I was astounded, as I knew from the bottom of my heart that I had found exactly what I had been seeking all my life. When I was a student, I liked reading cultivation stories and even considered practicing the Tao, but in this world I could not find it anywhere. After I got married, I was in poor health and practiced several types of qigong to try and heal myself, but my health did not improve. Intuitively I knew those qigong practices were in no way the Tao that I had sought. Later I heard a qigong master say, “Tao must be bred with money,” which made me feel despair, as my family was poor. Even if I could find the genuine Tao, I would not be able to afford it.

Later, when my hopes of cultivation had all but faded, I came across a Falun Dafa practitioner, who kept telling me that Dafa was a righteous cultivation way, and that I should not be fooled by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP)'s slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong. She gave me the book Zhuan Falun and I read it, despite my skepticism. When I finished reading it, I felt like my mind was being unlocked and all those enigmas that kept bewildering me were solved. It was exactly what I had been seeking all my life. I also read the then newly published Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and my determination for cultivating in Falun Dafa was further strengthened. I was disturbed that I had not found Falun Gong sooner, and cherished the precious opportunity of cultivating even more. I utilized all my time to study the Fa and practice the exercises, and I was eager to improve my xinxing when I encountered conflicts with other people. By reading Teacher's new lectures, I learned that it is important to do well the three things as a Dafa practitioner. Although I obtained the Fa late, I will certainly be a Dafa practitioner in the Fa rectification period. I will save people from the CCP's poison by explaining the facts about Falun Gong and safeguarding Dafa.

I have a small business downtown, and my sales cart is close to the police department building. Next to me, there was a fast food booth, and police officers from the building came to the food booth for their breakfast every day. I was not afraid that they might hear me as I explained the facts about Falun Gong to whomever came to buy things from me. I did this because I believe that Dafa represents the law of the cosmos and is a practice that genuinely saves people, as everyone who hears its truth will be blessed. I wrote truth clarification words on paper money and shared them with other practitioners. This helps circulate the facts about Falun Gong even further. To date, countless bills that bear the truth about Falun Gong has been given out.

I parked my sales cart in the square close to the police department. When police arrested Dafa practitioners, many other practitioners came here to send forth righteous thoughts. Some practitioners chose my place as their meeting site. During a certain period of time, there were many of them here. A practitioner once told me that I had been reported to the police, charging that my place was a Falun Gong materials site. Due to my poor understanding of the Fa, I failed to look inside or strengthen my righteous thoughts to negate the persecution of myself. I thought that people around me might have been annoyed by so many practitioners coming around, and their objections could have been conveyed to those who are hostile towards Falun Gong. I was afraid that I might be implicated.

In the winter of 2007, a group of practitioners were arrested when they were sending forth righteous thoughts together. I was among those arrested and sent to the local detention center. At that moment, I held one single thought in my mind, “There is nothing wrong with following the principles of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance' nor doing the Falun Gong exercises. I am not a bad person and should not be arrested.” I refused to cooperate with the police and refused to sign the arrest warrant. In the detention center I talked about the facts of Falun Gong with the prison guards. A police officer from the prison hospital said to me, “You will be released immediately if you write a confession statement. The Chinese New Year is drawing near and your son, your daughter-in-law, and your grandson are coming home to be with you. You should be home to see them. If you don't do what we tell you, you will have to stay here and won't be allowed to go home for the New Year. ” I then told her the facts about Falun Gong and my own stories about cultivating. As I proceeded, my compassion grew stronger and tears started to roll down my face. It might be that she was moved by my good heart to save her, which resolved the bad elements that were manipulating her in other dimensions, and she agreed to quit the CCP. Eleven days later, under the compassionate protection of Teacher, I returned home safely and resumed doing the three things.

I understand that my life has been arranged by Teacher to clarify the facts about Falun Gong while conducting my business. My husband is also a practitioner, who began practicing after seeing the changes in me after I started practicing, and is very diligent in doing the three things. We take making money lightly because we know that we are supposed to save sentient beings while we are doing business. We never sell fake goods, charge extra high prices or make money by dishonest means. Nowadays, fake goods are everywhere in China. Many people ask “is this real or fake” before they pay. When I am asked this question, I tell them without hesitation: “I am a practitioner of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. As a Falun Gong practitioner I will never sell you fake goods.” I then proceed to explain the facts about Falun Gong, and ask them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I always do so in a straightforward manner, and when they have questions, I answer them patiently. My eloquence grew as my experience accumulated. Teacher bestowed me with wisdom, which is attainable only through genuinely saving sentient beings. When speaking with strangers about Falun Dafa, I never expect their attitudes to change drastically. It would be good if they trusted me and quit the CCP, but if they don't, they might change their minds later when they receive informational materials from other practitioners.

After I studied Teacher's article “Be More Diligent,” I knew that what I have done to save sentient beings is still far from enough, and the most imminent task for me is to save more people. To do this mission, I must be more diligent. I shall not let anyone come to me or leave without telling them the facts about Falun Gong. To date, many people have withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations after I explained the facts about Falun Dafa to them. The most important thing is putting my heart into saving even more people.

For the time being, I explain the facts about Falun Dafa to people only at my booth. Compared with other diligent practitioners, I still have much to do. With this in mind, I will try my best to save more people so that I can keep up with the pace of Fa-rectification and return to my original home with Teacher.
