(Clearwisdom.net) On July 22, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners launched a series of activities downtown in the city of Bayreuth, Germany. The purpose of the activities was to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of the practice in China.
A lady came to the practitioners and said emotionally, “I saw you collecting signatures in front of the post office several years ago. I walked away without paying attention to what you did. I really regret it now I think about it. After I heard a recording of witness testimonies about the organ harvesting atrocities and see the pictures today, I realized that the situation in China is horrible.”
The lady left her phone number because she wanted to learn more about practicing Falun Gong herself. She also left a message to express her anger toward the brutal suppression, “I am not sure what words I should use to express myself. I should have been furious for the past many years about (the persecution.) This crime should not be tolerated even in Hell. Nothing can be more horrifying than the facts that are exposed by the Falun Gong practitioners today.”
An elderly man lingered for a long time. He said that the pictures provided powerful evidence of the persecution and were very persuasive.
Many people signed the petition to protest the persecution of Falun Gong. When the announcer read the testimony of how a female practitioner’s organs were removed while she was alive, the crowd quieted down. Everyone paid close attention to the evil crimes committed by the authorities in China.
The Bayreuth Festival is held in July each year when performances of operas by the 19th century German composer Richard Wagner are presented over the course of the 35 day festival. Opera fans from the world over gather in Bayreuth to celebrate, including the German Prime Minister. Falun Gong practitioners hold an activity every weekend during the festival to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
