(Clearwisdom.net) A report from Hong Kong in the evening news on Swiss TV on July 20, 2011 stated, "Up to the present, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China has lasted twelve years. Based on information from human rights organizations, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been unlawfully detained in labor camps, prisons, and more than 3,000 people have lost their lives. Falun Gong practitioners’ exercises and protest activities are very peaceful.”

The report stated, “In Hong Kong, the (China's) Special Administrative Region, Falun Gong practitioners are free to do the practice and sit-ins, but the Beijing government is afraid of this spiritual practice. Since1999, the CCP regime led by Jiang Zemin has persecuted Falun Gong. Falun Gong books were destroyed. Defamation of Falun Gong have been spread all over the country. In the absence of legal procedures, Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested and detained in labor camps. (Chinese government) has no legal basis for the ban of Falun Gong, but the Communist Party goes its own way.”
The report carried the peaceful scene of Falun Gong practitioner doing exercises together in Hong Kong and in mainland China before the persecution of Falun Gong. It also showed scenes where police beat Falun Gong practitioners on Tiananmen Square and practitioners were tortured. The report also carried the interview of some Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted. The report stated that Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong are calling for people to pay attention to the violent persecution by using display panels, which is one of the ways to stop the persecution. Finally, the reports stated: "Falun Gong practitioners believe that they will have freedom in China in future."
Indeed, all Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong and in more than one hundred countries around the world believe that such a day will come. To put an early end to the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners around the world let more people know what Falun Gong is and expose the CCP's various crimes against Falun Gong through methods such as display panels, banners, candlelight vigils, marches, exercise demonstrations and so on. The persecution of Falun Gong in China has not only aroused concern from more and more people and media outlets, but many people have offered help stop the persecution as well. From these, some people have gotten to know Falun Gong and started to practice it.
Voices of justice from Lake Zurich
In the evening, people passing by Burkliplatz square beside Lake Zurich could see the candlelight vigil held by Falun Gong practitioners. They commemorated more than 3,000 fellow practitioners who were tortured to death in the past 12 years.
Many passers-by stopped to look at the banners, accept truth information materials and talk with Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners told passersby, "People who practice Falun Gong want to be good people following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and benefit both physically and mentally by doing the practice. But the CCP started the persecution so as to control all people and their thoughts. We are here today hoping more people get to know this, show concern, and work together to stop the persecution."
Practitioner Denise met two teenage boys. On learning the fact of CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, they were deeply touched and asked how they could help. Denise told them, "You can sign the petition against the persecution, and can also tell your classmates and friends about this issue. You still can publish on other online media such as Facebook about the related news, telling more people: the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
Denise's wish
From one of her friends, Denise knew about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She read the book Zhuan Falun recommended by this friend. After that she started to practice Falun Gong. She said about her feeling when reading the book Zhuan Falun a year ago, “I felt it was what I was looking for in my heart for a long time. To me, this has become increasingly clear. I wish to practice it whole-heartedly.”
In practising Falun Gong, Denise feels she has gained more peace of mind, "I have noticed that things that moved me a lot and even made me lose control of myself before cannot affect me now. I’ve got more peace of mind."
As many other Falun Gong practitioners do, by making great efforts, she also hopes to stop the persecution as soon as possible, "I am here to demonstrate that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance should be practised in the world because these are very important values. I want to tell the world that such values are being persecuted in China and Falun Gong practitioners are unlawfully imprisoned. Many practitioners have died from forced organ harvesting while they were still alive. "
Her parents have gotten to know of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong through different channels and they were sad about it. Her father thinks people who follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have high values. They are good people who are kind towards others. If we were all like them, this world would be better.
Put an early end to the persecution
To stop the persecution is Erich’s and many other Falun Gong practitioners’ wish. Since 1999 when he began to practice Falun Gong, Erich has not only felt relaxed in his body, but also no longer pursues things that he actually does not need.
Although for 12 years he has been concerned about the persecution in China, he feels that people in the West cannot really understand the cruelty of it: "The persecution is so cruel that I don’t think we in the West, can fully imagine it. Even though I know a lot about China directly, I still don’t think we can understand what has happened in the persecution, because we do not have any similar experience. I can only say from what I know about the situation of the persecution: In 2006, the CCP”s crimes of organ harvesting from live practitioners were disclosed. For profit, the CCP doctors remove vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and had their remains cremated. Can we describe this? Can we feel what has happened? No one can. "
So today when the persecution has lasted for twelve years, he hopes to put an early end to it. "We hope that more people express concern about the persecution, including passers-by and media. If we do nothing, no one will know about such things. This crime will continue. " He believes that with more and more international attention to this, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners will stop. "I think great changes will take place if we keep protesting. "
