I make phone calls to mainland China to clarify the truth and help people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Master asks us to do the three things well, and to study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, and clarify the truth to save sentient beings. Making phone calls is a project that overseas practitioners can directly participate in and clarify the truth to the Chinese. One phone call can break through the CCP’s lies and save someone.

1. Eliminate the Attachment to Comfort

The best time to call China from North America is from 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 a,m. Eastern time. Through group study and sharing, I realized that I should get up in the middle of the night to make phone calls, so I get up between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. to make the calls. In the first few days I had pretty good results, but my family complained about the noise, so my comfortable environment was gone. I thought about going to stores at night to make the calls, but it was February and it would be really cold in the store, so I hesitated. Fortunately, since we have group study and sharing and send forth righteous thoughts, which has prepared me well, I told myself that practitioners in mainland China often get up in the middle of the night to distribute truth clarification materials without feeling that it was too much of a hardship. I’m in such a comfortable environment in North America, and how can I back off from such trivial difficulty? Clarifying the truth to save people is so urgent and nobody can stop me. As soon as I had this righteous thought, I went out. As I walked on the quiet street alone, I felt indescribable gratitude. I said heshi to Master in my heart and that I should have stepped forward long ago. I had wasted so much time, and I must catch up. Once I got to the store, I started calling right away, and felt really happy.

From then on it was like being on a speeding train to save people. I studied the Fa and did the exercises every day and made phone calls every evening. In these three months, it didn't matter how many tribulations I had, as I firmly stood my ground in this project to save people. Sometimes, I had the attachment to comfort and felt lazy and didn’t want to make the calls. The feeling of burden arose when I picked up the phone, but each time that happened, I would use righteous thoughts to eliminate such a thought, and it immediately disintegrated. I felt extremely happy when the phone was ringing. “Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One of Zhuan Falun) I can feel Master’s fortification when making the phone calls. The more calls I made, the stronger my righteous field that I could feel in clarifying the truth. The positive energy from my voice reached the soul of the listener and disintegrated the evil’s control. Those bad thoughts that tried to interfere with me became weaker and weaker. With the change in the celestial phenomenon, more and more mainland Chinese learned the truth. They are just waiting for us to help them quit the CCP.

A few days ago, I called a lady and I just randomly thought of a nickname for her as Yuzhi. When I asked for her last name, she answered in surprise, Yuzhi? How do you know my name? Indeed, predestined people are waiting for us. The listeners and callers have all waited millions of years for today, and with just one call from us, a few minutes, a king and his associated countless living beings can be saved. At this critical moment, we are very fortunate to have such an opportunity to join the phone call project. We’re rushing against time to save people from the old force’s arrangement. Through our truth clarification, we disintegrate the evil and completely deny any factors preventing people from being saved. If we don’t do well, we would be letting the sentient beings down, and letting Master down. Every day has been extended to us by Master to allow us to save people. Every day is precious. I know I’m still far from reaching Master’s requirements. I need to improve my xinxing to make more calls and save more people to fulfill my vow.

2. Clarify the Truth with Wisdom

In making phone calls, I always try to find out how to reach people’s hearts. Why do some practitioners have a higher success rate and help more people quit the CCP? Through sharing with others, I realized that I need to think from the listener’s perspective and be considerate of the environment they are in, and inspire their kind thoughts step by step. There are so many examples. After being cursed and hung up on many times, I call back with a pure heart, and often when they pick up the phone again, the evil factors behind them got eliminated right away, and their attitude changes completely.

There is a Korean practitioner whose Chinese is not very fluent, but can often get people to quit the CCP with each call made. Another Chinese American practitioner and I were making phone calls in one of the internet meeting rooms. The U.S. practitioner asked the Korean practitioner for feedback. After listening to his call online, the Korean practitioner said, “Your speech was a bit rushed, it would be better if you can speak more slowly.” The U.S. practitioner followed his advice and people began to listen. When trying to persuade a person to quit the CCP, the U.S. practitioner said, “You were a member of the Chinese Communist Party's Youth Pioneer Team. Why don't you withdraw from it? Wouldn't that be good for you? Let me help you to quit.” The person hung up out of fear. The Korean practitioner suggested, “You gave a good reason, but fear is a main reason that hindered many people from taking action. If you use a different perspective, the effect might be different. I normally say, 'How about allowing me to help you find a nickname and help you to void the vow that you had made? This will assure you a good future.' I would then ask if they had joined any of the CCP’s affiliated organizations. You always stressed to quit, without considering the environment they’re in. When I say it’s for them to have a safe future, they are not so afraid anymore.” I realized that the U.S. practitioner's way was a bit pushy, but the Korean practitioner’s way was very mild, as if caring for one’s own relatives. By clarifying the truth with wisdom and being considerate of the listener, the effect can be much better.

This inspired me to have righteous thoughts, to speak with a mild tone and a compassionate heart. Through many tries, I gradually found my own way of clarifying the truth. I always make calls with a smile and full of righteous thoughts in my heart, I pay attention to the speed of my speech, and make sure I have a peaceful tone. I speak more positive words to eliminate doubts in the listener's mind and sincerely wish them a good future so that they can feel my kindness. I can then further clarify the truth more thoroughly. At the same time, I encourage them to share the news of quitting the CCP with their relatives and friends to spread the truth more widely.

On the surface, these appear to be ordinary people’s skills, but for a practitioner, it’s a process of eliminating selfishness and thinking wholeheartedly of others. It’s not easy to save a person, as we have to break their mental barrier by paying close attention to their attachments, so that they can feel we’re sincerely for their own good. Influenced by the CCP party culture, I used to speak with a harsh tone and rarely considered others. Making phone calls gives me the opportunity to get rid of my bad habits and be more considerate of others. I also let go of my attachment to competitiveness and impatience. As I did this, the number of my listener and the number of people I have helped quitting the CCP increased along with the increase of my self-confidence.

3. Save People with Unwavering Righteous Thoughts

During the process of making phone calls, I have experienced a full range of emotions. Each time that people hung up or swore at me, or I am misunderstood and not appreciated, it was a test for my xinxing and righteous thoughts. Every call provides me with an opportunity of purifying myself and eliminating attachments, such as the attachment of proofing myself, competitiveness, showing off, impatience and pursuit.

I used to make calls using phone cards, but wasted a lot of time dialing numbers manually. I saw other practitioners using Skype to call, so I gave that a try, but each time I tried, the line was not working. After sharing with other practitioners, I realized it was a false illusion that I needed to deny. As I searched inward, I found my lack of compassion and my attachment to competitiveness, fear, and accomplishment. I adjusted my mentality and denied all interference, and acknowledged only the path that Master has arranged for me. Immediately, more people picked up my calls.

I always redial when the person hangs up on me out of fear or hangs up after listening to a bit of truth, so that I can help him open up his mind with my compassion. Many practitioners share the same experience that it often takes many repeated calls to touch a person. We repeatedly tell them with a peaceful tone that we’re sincerely for their good, that we hope they can escape disaster and have a safe future, and to please accept my best wishes and wipe away the evil vow you made before and stay away from disaster. Each call is a process to cultivate myself and think of others. I don’t remember how many times I’ve been cursed at, but once I redial, I have no resentment in my heart, and only have the thought to save people. Making phone calls on the platform can help me eliminate many attachments, such as validating myself, competitiveness, pursuit and sentimentality. Persevering in making phone calls helps me to change my notions. I can now calmly face all kinds of attitudes, with my fear, impatience and pursuit having been eliminated layer by layer.

I often encounter the situation where for several consecutive days, many people have hung up on me. I felt depressed and anxious at the beginning, but didn’t know what to do. After I calmed down, I sent forth righteous thoughts and faced the conflicts with righteous thoughts instead of human notions. Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Singapore,”

“I often say that if a person is free of any personal notions, isn’t motivated by self-interest, and is truly looking to benefit others, then when he points out another person’s shortcoming or tells the other person what’s right, that person will be moved to tears.”

When we can persevere with righteous thoughts, a calm mind and pure heart, we will definitely be able to untie the knots in these predestined peoples’ minds.

I once made over 30 calls, but either I couldn’t get through or they hung up the phone. I told myself not to be moved and continued calling while sending forth righteous thoughts. The last call I made was to a kind teacher in a poor mountain area. After listening to the truth, he didn’t want to hang up for a long time. At the end, he said that children in his class often saw “Heaven will punish the CCP, quit to stay safe” written on Renminbi, and he asked if it was true. I told him to tell the truth to the children and that he could quit by declaring his withdrawal on Renminbi, and to help the 12 students to quit. Another time, I called a CCP member. At the beginning, he just listened to me quietly, but suddenly to my surprise, he yelled and said that if you dare to call back I’ll arrest you, and then hung up. I remained unmoved, and just redialed with strong righteous thoughts. I thought of speaking from his perspective and inspiring his kind thought. I said sincerely, “Friend, I tell you about quitting the CCP for your own good. I know it’s not easy since you’ve devoted yourself to it all your life, and do not want to believe that it’s not good, but the CCP went against the heaven’s principles and did many evil things, and killed 80 million good people. Good will be rewarded with good, and evil with evil, disasters are imminent for CCP members, My wish is that you will stay away from it, and wipe out the vow you made to them and stay away from disaster, which will secure a safe future for yourself. He listened quietly and said to me in a small voice, “For so many years, I did what I should and got what I deserved. I know what you mean, and just now I was speaking for others to hear, as there are many people around. I know now, thank you.” In the end, this long time CCP member quit the party.

Another time, I called a policeman who cursed at me at the beginning, but my heart wasn’t moved. I sent forth righteous thoughts and redialed. Some facts that I heard from another practitioner flashed in my mind. Jiang proposed to kill police as a scapegoat to avoid being sued by Falun Gong practitioners in international courts, and after the Cultural Revolution, a group of police were killed in Yunnan to quell public discontent. When I told him he was silent and then changed his attitude, and agreed to quit and promised not to participate in the persecution of Dafa disciples. I realize that Master has already given us the wisdom to disintegrate the evil, as long as we have strong righteous thoughts and not have our hearts moved, we can use it at will. I thank Master for the encouragement. “Cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master.” As long as we clarify the truth with a pure heart, and not have our hearts moved no matter what situation we encounter, and have righteous thoughts and actions, the evil will be eliminated.

Master said,

“What this means is, nothing that you come across as you go about saving sentient beings and validating the Fa is coincidental. Nothing is that simple, be it something seemingly minor, what thoughts someone has, or the wide array of people and things that you run into when you are clarifying the truth. But, it’s only acceptable when you go about things with compassion in your heart. Don’t be bothered when people have a certain attitude or misunderstanding. When you act just to save the person, to save sentient beings, then I think the impact of that can change everything. If, however, as you clarify the truth your mind is affected by ordinary human attachments, then you won’t be able to achieve anything. When in your truth clarification you run across ordinary people who have listened to and believed the lies and propaganda spread early on by the wicked CCP via its media, they might have misperceptions about Dafa disciples, be harsh toward you, or not willing to listen to you. At those times, if your emotions are stirred up by them, and you feel wronged, get upset, and maybe even aren’t all that rational, then you won’t be able to clarify the truth nor save those people. And in fact, the evil is constantly using the misperceptions of Dafa disciples that ordinary people have as a way to make the person feel increasingly at odds with you. But if your righteous thoughts are strong, the evil will be dissolved. The power of true compassion can dissolve all deviant factors, and when you talk with a person you will be emitting energy outwardly that dissolves evil things, and the evil in other dimensions will not dare to approach or control that person anymore. When you then reason with that person, he will listen, and you will be able to purge the lies infused into him by the wicked CCP, thus removing the block in his mind.” (“Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan”)

Faith can move mountains. In two and a half months, I helped close to 600 people to quit, and my ratio for people to quit the CCP has increased from 10% to 30%. When my cultivation state is good, I can feel that I’m truly making phone calls with supernormal abilities and righteous thoughts and can use them at will. People can often feel my confidence and sometimes they become happy as if talking to a friend. It’s indeed “With righteous thoughts, 
save the world's people. 
I just don't believe their consciences 
are irretrievably lost.” (“For the Good of the World”)

Master said in “Be More Diligent”,

“...that the number of lives to be saved before the final moment arrives has not reached the amount it should; and that there is still a portion of Dafa disciples that hasn’t kept up. That is the key reason why the end of this undertaking still hasn’t been enacted.”

In “Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan”, Master said,

“The intensity of our clarifying the truth should grow only greater and greater, so you mustn’t let up—you absolutely must not. If humankind really experienced something like what the prophecies have described, it would be too late for regret. You mustn’t let the sentient beings down, nor fail to honor the vow that you made before the dawn of history.”

Clarifying the truth and saving people are quite urgent. We have already reached the end of the last stage, but there’re still so many precious Chinese people lost in the maze, who have forgotten the meaning of their life. If we have more overseas practitioners calling China, and if each practitioner makes one more call per day, there will be more people, along with the countless living beings behind them getting saved. I sincerely hope more practitioners can make phone calls and seize this precious opportunity to fulfill our vow and save more and more people.
