(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties across 16 provinces. In this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yue Yanyan Arrested

On July 10, 2011, Ms. Yue Yanyan went to her friend to Mr. Wang Shaogeng's home on Yanhe Street to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Mr. Wang's child reported her to the Zhongshandong Street Police Station, and the police arrested Ms. Yue, who took her to the Panjiawan Brainwashing Center on July 11. The police later transferred her to an unknown place on July 27, 2011.

Earlier Ms. Yue was prisoned in Weinan Prison for six years. She had been out for just one year.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Tianying Arrested

Ms. Wang Tianying lives in the Jiangjiaying Community, the Fengrun District, Tangshan. On the afternoon of July 28, 2011, officers from the Wangguanying Town, Jiangjiaying Township Police Station arrested Ms. Wang and took her to the Fengrun Brainwashing Center.

4. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Feng Xinlei from the Pingchuan District, Baiyin City, Arrested and Now in Zhangjiang Prison in Chuansha County, Shanghai

On the morning of July 29, 2011, officers from the Dongchaoyang Street Police Station arrested Ms. Shao Peiyu. She is being detained in the Weizigou Detention Center.

6. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

On the morning of August 2, 2011, three practitioners from Shenzhen City, including Ms. Chang (over 70 years old), Ms. Yang (over 50 years old), were arrested for doing the Falun Gong exercises in Shenzhen Sihai Park.

7. [Chongqing] Two Elderly Practitioners Ms. Hu Wenju and Ms. Jiang Guoying from Nanchuan District Arrested on July 26, 2011

8. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Lixia Sent to Forced Labor

On the afternoon of July 17, 2011, Officer Ma Zongtao and others from the 610 Office Domestic Security arrested Ms. Zhao Lixia near the Second People's Hospital. Police then ransacked her home, detained her, and took her directly to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for an 18-month term.

9. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yuan Shuyu Arrested, Father Yuan Xiaoqin Also in Custody

Ms. Yuan Shuyu lives in Dayingzi Village, Hugou Township, Pingquan County. On July 23, 2011, police arrested her and detained her in the Nanyuanzi Brainwashing Center located in Xiabancheng Community, Chengde County. A few days later on July 27, when Ms. Yuan's husband and her father, Yuan Xiaoqin (over 70 years old, also a practitioner), went to the center to request her release, the guards there then took Mr. Yuan into custody.

10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Song Shanying on Hunger Strike for Eight Weeks

Ms. Song lives in the Dachang District, Nanjing City. While she was clarifying the truth, someone reported her to the authorities. Police arrested and detained her for nearly a month. She has been on a hunger strike for a week.

11. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Xiuqin Arrested

Ms. Xu Xiuqin lives in Shiqiao Village in the Tianqiao District, Jinan City. On the evening of August 1, 2011, officers from the Huangtai Police Station arrested her in Weizhuang Village in the Tianqiao District. She is now in Zhangzhuang Detention Center.

12. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Weidong and His Wife Xu Ailing Arrested

On the evening of August 1, 2011, Mr. Wang Weidong and his wife, Ms. Xu Ailing, went for a walk on the Dongwai Circle Road. Officers from the Guan County 610 Office arrested them and then ransacked their home. Mr. Wang is now in the Guan County Detention Center, but the whereabouts of Ms. Xu remain unknown.

13. [Langzhong City, Sichuan Province] The Persecution of Ms. Chen

Ms. Chen lives in the Yusi Garden Neighborhood of Langzhong City. On August 2, 2011, the Neighborhood CCP Secretary led police to storm into Ms. Chen's home at around 11 a.m. They ransacked the place, confiscating her laptop. Ms. Chen and her husband had to abscond from their home to avoid being arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ding Naiqin and Others Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

At the beginning of July 2011, City 610 Office chair Yu Yongjiang arrested Ms. Ding Naiqin and Ms. Bao Qing, detaining them at a brainwashing center located in family housing located across Xinxing Square.

On July 25, 2011, Baoqing County 610 Office chair Liu Shunchao, CCP vice secretary Ma Xiaodong, and others arrested Ms. Jiang Liqin from Shuguang Village in Chaoyang Township, taking her to the same brainwashing center in Shuangyashan City.

15. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Song Meixiang and Ms. Zheng Runye Detained

Ms. Song Meixiang and Ms. Zheng Runye live in the Xishan Community, Taiyuan City. Police from the Qiaodong Station and the Yingze District Department arrested them on July 26, 2011, while they were clarifying the truth in the Qiaodong community. They are detained separately in the Taiyuan City Detention Center and the Shanxi Province Detention Center.

16. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Zhisheng Arrested Upon Returning to China from Canada

Mr. Wu went back to China at the end of July 2011, residing in his son's home in Dongguan. Police later arrested him. His whereabouts remain unknown.

17. [Changting County, Fujian Province] Ms. Rao Huoli Arrested

Ms. Rao Huoli, in her 50s, was arrested in 2003 and sent to the Fujian Province Women's Prison. She was arrested and detained again in 2010, but released due to high blood pressure and heart disease as a result of torture. On the morning of August 3, 2011, officers from the Changting County Police Department arrested her at her home, taking her and her five-year-old grandson to a brainwashing center.

18. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Juan and Her Son Liu Meng Arrested

Mr. Liu Zonglei's family lives in Houjiazuo Village, Beiquanli Township, Sizhilan Town in Ningjin County. On the early morning of August 3, 2011, officers from the County 610 Office, Town Police Station stormed into his home and arrested his wife, Ms. Wang Juan, and his son, Liu Meng.

19. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Huaxue Arrested and Taken to Fushun Forced Labor Camp

On August 2, 2011, led by Jiang Jie, the County Domestic Security Chief, and Director Song of Taipingzhuang Police Station, ten officers barged into Mr. Wang Huaxue's home and arrested him, ransacking the place. The next day, they took Mr. Wang to Fushun Forced Labor Camp.

20. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Fengying resides in Tiangang Town, Jiaohe City. Police arrested her at her home on August 1, 2011, and took her to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center.

21. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tu Yonghong Arrested and Detained in Xinjin Brainwashing Center

Ms. Tu Yonghong is retired from the Sichun Chemical Corp located in the Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City. The Security Office of her employer arrested her, taking her to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.

22. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Huijing Arrested

Police arrested Ms. Liu Huijing on July 29, 2011. They ransacked her rented home, took her laptop, and detained her at the Tangshan Detention Center.

23. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Youxiong and Ms. Zhang Xi'ai Arrested

Officers from the Wanggang Town Station first arrested Mr.Chen Youxiong (date unknown) and then arrested Ms. Zhang Xi'ai arly in the morning on August 3, 2011.

24. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ding Zhenfang Tortured to Near Death in Women's Prison

25. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Mr. Xia Changfu Arrested

Mr. Xia Changfu is from Kianli County, Hubei Province. He works in Shunde City, Guangdong Province. Shunde local police arrested him on August 1, 2011, while he was handing out truth clarifying materials after work.

26. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cui Zhanyun and Practitioner Zhu Arrested

Practitioner Zhu is from out of town and works in Yushu City. Around noon on July 27, 2011, local practitioner Ms. Cui Zhanyun went to Zhu's home. Both were arrested by officers hiding nearby. Police ransacked Zhu's home, taking a computer and a cell phone. They were held in Yushu Detention Center. Ms. Cui was released on July 31, 2011, but Zhu has been on hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution.

27. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Meizhang Arrested

Ms. Liu Meizhang, 67, was arrested from her home on the evening of July 31, 2011. Her whereabouts are unknown.

28. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Persecution of Ms. Wen Fengqing

Zheng Yonghai, a Puyang City Domestic Security agent, and a group of officers arrested Ms. Wen Fengqing on the evening of July 14, 2011. Ms. Wen was detained in the Huangpu Detention Center and then taken to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City. However, she was not admitted due to heart problems and high blood pressure and had to be taken home.

August 4, 2011
