(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Pan Youfa of Shenyang City was recently harassed once again by the domestic security police from Tiexi Police Station. Mr. Pan was previously an outstanding military officer but he had been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and has been unable to return home for the past ten years.
Around June 20, 2011, deputy team leader Zhang of the Tiexi Police Station led three officers to Pan's residence. They lied to his wife by saying, “As long as he comes back home, we will forgive him for his past wrongs.”
At around 10:00 p.m. on July 5, 2011, under the coercion from the Domestic Security Team, Mr. Pan's wife lead them to his friend’s house to ask about his whereabouts. The officers were informed that they had not seen him in a long time.
From Outstanding High-level Military Officer to Falun Gong Practitioner
Mr. Pan was an outstanding high level military officer. He had won many awards. However due to his belief in Falun Gong, he became a persecution target of the CCP.
Mr. Pan had once been illegally sentenced and incarcerated in a CCP forced labor camp for one and a half years. From late 2001 to present, he had been persecuted for more than ten years. He has not returned home during this period. His family members were frequently harassed by the police. Sometimes, many plainclothes officers sent by the military region officials monitored his house.
Pan joined the military after he graduated from high school. He started off as a normal soldier and progressed all the way to deputy military leader. He was then transferred to the Shenyang City building construction committee. Due to the rigor and exhaustion, as a result of regular camps and military training throughout the year, Pan suffered from many illnesses. He spent much of his time visiting doctors for treatment. In the end he was unable to work. He had multiple treatments in hospitals and required rest at home.
A specialist had diagnosed Pan to be suffering from stroke, heart disease, nephritis, and five other diseases. Prolonged periods of hospital treatment provided no improvement in his health. He had difficulty walking and had to rest for long periods of time after walking a short distance. At that time Pan was only in his forties. Much of his family’s savings was spent on medical bills.
In May 1996, a traditional Chinese medical doctor said to him, "There is no hope of curing your illnesses. Why don’t you try practicing Falun Gong?” After three months of doing the Falun Gong exercises, all the symptoms of his eight different illnesses disappeared. His family and friends witnessed first-hand the miracles of Falun Gong.
On February 29, 2000, after the persecution started, Pan went to Beijing to appeal for justice on behalf of Falun Gong. He delivered a signed truth clarification letter to the Chinese politicians. As a result he was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor by the Shenyan City Police Station. He was detained in the Longshan Forced Labor Camp and then transferred to Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp. During the imprisonment, the police used all kinds of methods attempting to force him to renounce his faith. At one point Mr. Pan went against his conscience and wrote a guarantee statement. As a result, he suffered much mental and emotional trauma.
After he was released from prison, Mr. Pan exposed the horrific brutality of the police on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, and declared that he would remain steadfast in his cultivation. The Shenyang City 610 Office subsequently posted an arrest warrant for him on the Internet. In order to avoid being arrested, he has been unable to return home.
