(Clearwisdom.net) The recent appearance of large numbers of truth-clarification messages painted on walls and flyers handed out in the townships and villages in Duchang County, Jiangxi Province, has caused quite a stir among local citizens. The impact has spread to neighboring provinces and counties, upsetting those in the various departments of the local CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and making them panic and scared. In early July, the Duchang CCP-controlled TV station broadcast messages defaming Falun Dafa and its practitioners in order to turn the local people against Dafa. County and township police stations have all received orders to "maintain close surveillance" on and "attack" practitioners. This has resulted in a rash of persecution cases.
On the evening of August 6, when Ms. Shen Rongxiang was handing out truth-clarification materials in Sushan County, officers from Sushan Police Department took her to the township police station, where people from the Domestic Security Team brutally tortured her.
On the morning of August 8, team leader Hong Liu, Cao Zhen, and Fang Changyin from the Duchang County Domestic Security Department went with seven to eight police officers to Mr. Cao Dazhang's workplace. They seized him for no reason, then went to his home and ransacked it. They also confiscated his vehicle. They then took his older daughter in for questioning. They subjected Mr. Cao to cruel torture.
On the morning of August 18, Chen Zhengchu, the head of the 610 Office, and about 20 people from the Domestic Security Team, Cultural and Broadcasting Bureau, and local Zhouxi Township Police Station went in six cars to Mr. Cao's hometown to look for "evidence" against him. The local villagers opposed them, and they couldn't get into his home. They didn't give up, and in the afternoon, they broke into Mr. Cao's home in the township and confiscated his satellite receiver and a copy of Zhuan Falun.
On the 19th, Chen Zhengchu and others went to Zhouxi Township and confiscated a satellite receiver from Ms. Yi Qunping from Zhouxi No.1 Middle School and Mr. Wang Huosun from Shuhu Village. On August 23, after Mr. Cao had been detained for 15 days, police officers interrogated him again, this time for an entire day. To this day, people from the Domestic Security Team refuse to allow his wife to visit him.
