(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Yue is a well-respected Chinese teacher in Dalian, Liaoning Province. She was arrested by officers from Jinzhou Police Station in June 2011. The police not only ransacked Ms. Li's home, but also arrested and/or interrogated her family members, friends, colleagues, and even her son's girlfriend. Ms. Li has now returned home.
At 7:25 a.m. on June 29, 2011, more than twenty officers arrested Ms. Li's son, Hou Chao, in front of her apartment. Then they took Hou Chao's house key to get into Ms. Li's home. The ten-plus officers acted like thieves as they ransacked her home. They took away two computers and some personal belongings.
Then the police went to Ms. Li's school and took away another computer and a printer. Then they took her to Jinzhou Police Station to interrogate her. That night she was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.
Moreover, the police arrested and interrogated Ms. Li's friends (who were not practitioners) who went to visit her. One of her friends was held in the Jinzhou Police Station, and her bag was taken away by a policewoman. When she returned her bag, her wallet was missing. There were over one thousand yuan and several credit and bank cards in the wallet.
Moreover, the police arrested Hou Chao's girlfriend and ransacked her home. Her laptop was taken away, and the police have not yet returned it. Hou was held in the Sanli Detention Center in Jinzhou for 37 days. After he was released, his girlfriend broke off their relationship for that reason.
The next day after Ms. Li and her son were arrested, the police returned to her school and harassed the teachers and students there. Ms. Cheng is a teacher at the school, and she was interrogated for a whole day. Afterward, the police went to the school again and drove away all the teachers and students who were going to take a standardized test. They also took away the school's accounting book.
