Solemn Declaration

On my way to appeal in Beijing on September 22, 1999, I was illegally arrested and taken to the police station. I was then transferred to the Town Office that afternoon, where I was intimidated and coerced into copying and attesting to the truth of a written document with my fingerprints. One day in September 2002, I was taken to the local police station. After I refused to sign the guarantee statement, they first sent me to the county police department and transferred me to a detention center that evening. I had to harvest hot peppers in the detention center and the pungent air made me quite sick. I became worried and afraid and was transferred to a brainwashing center one month later. I wrote two statements against my will and paid a fine of 3,000 yuan, plus 700 yuan billed for food. When I was illegally arrested again in 2003, I refused to cooperate and did not sign any document at all. I solemnly declare: ”Everything I have done that is not in accordance with Dafa is null and void. I'll do the three things well and firmly practice cultivation to the end.”

Solemn Declaration

After July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong,

which led to the illegal detention of my mother – a fellow practitioner. The pressure from my workplace, local police and family built up on me tremendously to the point I resorted to playing along and placing my fingerprints on the “guarantee statement” in order to precipitate my release from detention. My behavior has left an indelible stain on my cultivation path. I deeply regret and feel shameful in the face of Master's merciful salvation. After intensive Fa study, I realize that real cultivation means complete removal of all attachments. I solemnly declare: ”Anything I have done that does not comply with Dafa is null and void. I will resume my cultivation anew, working hard to make up for my mistakes and do the three things well. I intend to firmly practice Dafa to the end and live up to the calling of a Dafa disciple.
