(Clearwisdom.net) On August 27-28, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners from Bulgaria and surrounding areas informed the public about the cultivation practice of Falun Dafa and collected signatures in support of practitioners who are being persecuted in China. The events were held in Pleven and Veliko Tarnovo, two of the largest cities in Bulgaria, located in the northern part of the country.
A number of people signed the petition calling for an end to the suppression in China that has continued for over 12 years. Many people remain puzzled by the fact that such inhumane treatment and phenomena exist in the 21st century towards a group of people who want to practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance -- the three basic principles that lie at the heart of Falun Dafa. During the event, people expressed how the media has not given attention to events like this.
After trying some of the five meditative and simple-to-learn exercises of Falun Dafa, some people began to feel a certain energy, and a change. They became interested in Falun Dafa and wanted to learn more about it.
