(Minghui.org) Because Ms. Wang Xiyu persisted in practicing Falun Gong and clarifying the facts to the deceived Chinese people, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has brutally tortured and harassed her for 13 years. She was illegally sentenced to prison for five years and to a forced labor camp for two years. At the Jinan Prison second team of Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, she was brutally tortured and in critical condition many times. She has now been sentenced to prison for a second time.

Ms. Wang Xiyu was illegally arrested and taken to the Renzhao Police Station in Pingdu on April 12, 2012. She shouted, “Falun Dafa is good” many times. She was transferred to the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao. She was tried in Pingdu Court on July 31 and sentenced to three years and six months in prison. Her family was never notified.

Before she started practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from the aftereffects of surgery. She constantly had stomach pain and became unable to stand up straight. She was later diagnosed with nephritis, bronchitis, neurasthenia, and insomnia. She could not do any heavy work, and although she tried many medical treatments, none worked. She was ill and in pain for many years. In 1998, she heard that Falun Gong could cure illness, so she stared to cultivate, and soon all of her illnesses disappeared. She could do all the heavy tasks at home and was a truly healthy person.

Appealing for Justice in Beijing

After the persecution began, Ms. Wang went to Beijing with other practitioners to appeal for Dafa and Master in November 1999. They were arrested in Beijing and taken to the Qingdao City Beijing Office. They were then taken back to the local police station. Ms. Wang was brutally beaten by Dai Songben, the CCP party secretary in Renzhao. Then she was forced to sit in the snow on the ground. She was detained for five to six days and had 1,000 yuan extorted from her before she was released.

In the summer of 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was arrested and sent back again. Police officer Zong Xugong locked her and other practitioners in a car garage for several hours. It was very hot and humid inside and the practitioners were attacked by mosquitos. After enduring this for eight days, they went on a hunger strike to protest and were finally released. A few days later, officer Zhang Xiling convinced Ms. Wang to come to the police station. Without going through any legal procedures or notifying her family, the police detained her for 15 days.

Establishing a Materials Production Site

To let the precious Chinese people know the truth about Falun Gong, Ms. Wang and a few other practitioners established a truth-clarifying materials production site. Some practitioners at the site were arrested in May 2001. Guyan Police Station officers then went to Ms. Wang's home to arrest her. There was no one at home at the time, so they broke in. They took a copier, six bags of materials, banners, etc. When she returned and saw the police vehicle parked in front of her home, she walked away to avoid being arrested.

A month later she left home and had to move from place to place, even though it was the busy farming season for her family, who cared for over 1,000 chickens. Only her eldest daughter (24 years old) worked at home. Her younger daughter had just started middle school. To help them Ms. Wang returned home on June 26. The next day, officers from Guyan Police Station arrested her. Two officers from Pingdu Police Department brutally beat her. They grabbed her hair, hit her head and face, and slandered her. They demanded to know whom she worked with to make the materials and where had she sent the materials. When she refused to cooperate, they struck her eyes and mouth with their fists and pulled her down by her hair. She was tortured for 24 hours straight.

On June 28, 2001, Ms. Wang was taken to Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao. She refused to do the forced labor, refused to recite the rules, and did not cooperate with any of the police requirements. The instructors did not let her sleep or take showers. The instructors first beat and kicked her, then incited drug addicts Wang Meng and Wang Yuenan to brutally beat and insult her. She went on a hunger strike in protest. The chief of the detention center grabbed her hair and force-fed her. She was handcuffed for 18 days straight. The handcuffs dug into her wrists, and her arms swelled badly. Her wrists kept bleeding and her arms hurt so much they felt as if they were broken.

After being held in the detention center for seven months, Ms. Wang was sentenced to five years in prison by the Pingdu City Court.

Brutally Tortured in Jinan Prison

Wang Xiyu was transferred to Jinan Prison in January 2002. She was first locked in a special room and made to stand every day without sleep. Attempts were made to force her to write the so-called the repentance statements. Groups of CCP personnel attacked and insulted her in turn. She refused to be “transformed,” and did not say or write one word. They then divided into three shifts to strictly control her. She was not allowed to sleep at all for 40 days. As soon as she closed the eyes, she was beaten, and dragged by the hair, hitting the ground. She started to recite the Fa and Dafa books. At that time, she could only recite Lunyu, which she continuously recited. The police saw she was still energetic and refused to be “transformed,” even after not sleeping for such long time. On March 18, she was assigned to the sixth prison district (for the elderly and disabled) and was forced to do hard labor.

On April 25, police ordered Li Fang (a collaborator from Weifang City) and another person to deceive Ms. Wang into writing from memory a new article from Master so that Li Fang could read it. She did not know it was a trap, so she wrote what she could remember and gave it to Li Fang. Li Fang then directly handed it to the police. On April 26, 2012, officers grabbed Ms. Wang by her hair and dragged her to an office while shouting at and hitting her. She was brutally beaten in the office. They took off all her clothes and four officers used electric batons to shock her, including officers Wu Xiangyan, Hou, and Wang. They used the electric batons to hit her eyes, mouth, feet, armpits, and inner thighs for an hour. She was in so much pain that she writhed on the ground. They did not stop until she became so weak that she no longer had the strength to move.

Ms. Wang's face and body were full of blisters, and her teeth were loose. Yet she was still forced to stand around the clock every day and was not allowed to sleep or use the toilet. Each day she was given only a small amount of vegetable soup. She was later transferred to the sixth prison district and ordered to perform slave labor at the prison workshop. She said firmly, “I won't do the work. There is nothing wrong with me cultivating Falun Dafa. I will never do the work.”

She refused to work to protest the inhuman persecution, and the police beat and kicked her. She shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” The police dragged her all the way to the office. Two officers twisted her arms behind her back, grabbed her hair, and stomped on her feet. They punched her in the face and slapped her until they were all so tired that they stopped and lay down on the ground. She later heard that collaborator Li Fang, for whom she had written one of Master's articles, saw how brutally Ms. Wang had been beaten with electric batons and was filled with remorse. Li Fang committed suicide in the prison by hanging herself. Officer Wu Xiangyan was punished because of her suicide.

In November 2002, Ms. Wang was transferred to a "strict team." The strict team is in the main district and is where Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted. The living conditions are very poor and the practitioners are given only steamed bread to eat. They are deprived of sleep for long periods of time and beaten brutally in attempts to “transform” them. At first, she was still allowed to sleep a little, but once she got used to that, she was not allowed to sleep at all. She was forced to squat next to the wall and hold her knees with both hands. Someone was there to watch her at all times. As soon as she closed her eyes, they pulled her by the hair and slammed her head against the wall. She was attacked while her mind was not clear. She kept reciting the Fa and did not feel too sleepy. After about 25 or 26 days, she heard the persecutors conspiring to torture her even more brutally by using electric batons to shock her again. Because she was afraid of more brutal torture, and not being in her right mind, she asked Su Li to write a “repentance statement” for her. The next day when her mind was clear, she immediately realized it was wrong. She asked the for statement back, but it was not returned to her. The persecutors used a variety of methods to torture her and did not allow her to sleep for 40 days, but she still refused to be “transformed.” Instead, everyone sent to watch her developed illnesses, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and colds.

The police realized they could not “transform” her with torture. They came up with the idea of freezing her outside. At midnight when all the others slept, officers Xu (section head), Wang, and Li dragged Ms. Wang out into the yard. It was December, and extremely cold and snowing. She was wearing only thin clothes and was forced to stand in the snow with bare feet. After she endured this for many days, she was transferred to the seventh prison district and was assigned to the sewing group. Her workload was that of two people. She had to work until midnight and re-start work at 5:30 in the morning. She worked like this for 28 days.

In April 2003, Ms. Wang was transferred to the first prison district. Officer Wu Xiangyan from the sixth district was also transferred to the first district to kept up the pressure on her, making her sleep in the hall winter and summer. They tried to force her to work at the shop, but she refused to cooperate. A few people had to carry her to the shop. Since she never cooperated with the prison authorities, she was strictly controlled and persecuted. On June 25, 2006, her term ended and she finally left the prison.

Sentenced to Forced Labor

In June 2007, Ms. Wang went to visit another practitioner. On her way home, officers from Guyan Town Police Station arrested her. They took her cell phone and house key. They ransacked her home and took a printer, a computer, two MP3 players, 180 yuan in cash, and a cellphone card. In the police station, officer Liu Jie and others beat her all night. The next day, she was taken to the Pingdu Detention Center.

Fifteen days later, her family picked her up. Fifteen days later, at 4:00 a.m., five to six officers from the police station crawled over the wall and broke into her home. They used the key they had taken from her to open the door, and then arrested her. They dragged her into the police vehicle and took her directly to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. She was sentenced for two years forced labor.

Ms. Wang was imprisoned in the second team (the strict team) of the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo. Since she refused to watch the video that slandered Dafa, and refused to write the repentance letter or cooperate with the “transformation,” she was brutally tortured. Caption Zhao Wenhui incited drug addict Xu Yan to beat and kick her every day. Xu Yan punched Ms. Wang's head and face, and kicked her knees. But Ms. Wang still did not cooperate. Zhao Wenhui and Xu Yan dragged her to a room, tied her feet, tied her hands behind her back to the window, and covered her mouth with tape. She was forced to stand around the clock every day and not allowed to sleep or use the toilet. Whenever she closed her eyes, the drug addicts brutally beat her. Due to long-term beatings and brainwashing, she eventually could bear it no longer. Collaborator Yang Xiurong “transformed” her while she was not clear about the Fa principles, and forced her to write a repentance letter.

Once the practitioners were “transformed,” they were forced to watch a video that slandered Dafa for 15 days. Every day after watching the video, they had to write reports on their understandings. After 15 days, they were forced to write a weekly and monthly summary to report their understanding of Falun Gong. When they needed to use the toilet, they had to report to the police first and sing a song praising the CCP before they could go. They were not allowed to use the restroom for more than five minutes, and were not allowed to see each other in the restroom or at meals. If they did, the prisoners and collaborators would report it, and the practitioner's term was extended. The practitioners were only given seven minutes to wash their faces and feet, and brush their teeth in summer, and five minutes in winter. The police transferred Ms. Wang to the fifth group and wanted her to help “transform” other practitioners. She did not want to keep doing bad things against her will. She and a dozen other practitioners announced that their “transformations” and repentance statements were invalid and that they would cultivate Dafa firmly. The police then started a new wave of even more brutal persecution.

The police told Ms. Wang on October 6, 2008 to go to the “moral education” classroom, but she refused. Officer Zhao Wenhui then grabbed her collar and dragged her into the restroom. Zhao Wenhui called two vicious drug addicts, Qin Nannan and Wang Zhi, to beat her every day. Wang Zhi used a toilet brush to comb her hair and brush her teeth. They beat her to the ground and then used slippers to cover her mouth. Qin Nannan stomped on her hands, totally smashing them. In the cold winter, Qin Nannan poured two tubs of cold water over her head and body, soaking her. Then the drug addicts opened the window to freeze her. After a while, they poured cold water on her stomach. Officers Zhao Wenhui and Zhao Lili (deputy caption) stood on the sidelines, watching the entire time. When they saw how frozen she was and how much pain she was in, they all laughed. Later, Zhao Wenhui incited the drug addicts to pour the cold water on the ground. She then took off Ms. Wang's shoes and forced her to stand in the cold water in her bare feet and wear wet clothes every day. Even after many days, Ms. Wang still refused to be “transformed.” She was later forced to sit on the ground covered with cold water and was not allowed to move. As soon as she moved, the drug addicts beat her nearly to death.

Because she had been sitting on the ground in water for a long time and had been beaten and kicked every day, she was covered with sores. Her buttocks were rotting away and she had a big sore full of pus and blood. The sores were so bad that the bone was eventually exposed, and it was very painful. When Zhao Wenhui and Zhao Lili saw her suffering, they dragged her by her hair out of the restroom. Most of her hair was ripped out. When they started beating her, she quickly fainted.

When she came to, Qin Nannan squeezed her neck with both hands, lifted her to her feet, then threw her on the ground, again and again. She felt intense pain in her stomach and fainted. After a long time when she finally regained consciousness, her entire body was numb and she was unable to move. Zhao Lili nonetheless said, “It's OK. She just is pretending.”

Ms. Wang was still not allowed to sleep for a long time. She was given only one bun to eat each day and no water to drink. She could not move her bowels for over 40 days, and her bottom was rotting away. The pus and blood stuck to her pants for several months, but the police did not allow her to clean herself or change her clothes. She smelled terrible. It was late November and already very cold. The police were wearing warm insulated coats. But they only allowed her to wear a short shirt. They opened the window every day to let cold air into the room to freeze her. Officer Zhao Lili tied her hands to the window grill with rope to further torture her.

Due to these long-term brutal tortures, Wang Xiyu could no longer stand it. She fainted many times while tied to the window grill. According to others, when she fainted, officer Song Min poured cold water on her hands. When she came to, her wet clothing had frozen on her arms and wrists. Her right hand lost all feeling.

The brutal tortures did not stop until Wang Xiyu finished her forced labor term. Her wrists are still numb today and she cannot hold anything. Her knees are still very painful.

Ms. Wang was illegally sentenced to prison twice and forced labor once, and was brutally persecuted just for practicing Falun Gong and explaining the facts about Falun Gong to the public. The brutal tortures she suffered should not be allowed. Inside the Pingdu Prison and CCP forced labor camp, she also witnessed how the police brutally tortured practitioners Chen Zhenbo and others who refused to give up their beliefs.

After Ms. Wang was arrested and severely persecuted, her family lived in fear for her life. CCP personnel constantly harassed her husband, Wang Chuanqing, who was paralyzed and bedridden. After missing his wife for two years and ten months, he finally passed away in October 2002, at age 61. Their two children were left on their own.
