Shenyang Schoolteacher Detained for a Month, Her Child in Tears

(Minghui.org) Ms. Han Qing, 42, teaches at the Liangzhong County Vocational High School in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. She was arrested and has been detained for almost a month. Her family went to the Shenyang First Detention Center and delivered clothes to her, but the detention center did not allow them to see her. It was said that the police fabricated evidence and submitted the case to the Procuratorate.

Ms. Han had poor health from a young age. After she started practicing Falun Dafa, the illnesses she had suffered for many years completely disappeared. Soon after, she had a baby. Her family has since lived in harmony. The classes she taught always achieved excellent results.

Li Wei, Zhang Yingli, and other officers from the Domestic Security Division of Liaozhong County Police Department barged into the school at noon on September 26, 2012, and took Ms. Han to the police department. Officers ransacked her home when her family was not present. They took her computer and other belongings. Ms. Han was later taken to the Shenyang First Detention Center.

Very distressed at the turn of events, Ms. Han's teenage child, now on his/her own, was reduced to tears. Both Ms. Han's parents and in-laws are in their 70s and very upset.

Her family went to the police department and inquired about her case. Li Wei lied and shifted responsibility to the Shenyang City Police Department, claiming he didn't know because he did not attend the hearing. The principal of the Liaozhong County Vocational High School also lied when he claimed not to know that Ms. Han had been arrested.
