(Minghui.org) Staff from the Jinniu District Domestic Security Bureau recently submitted material to Jinniu District Procuratorate in an attempt to intensify the persecution of Ms. Liu Hui.
On December 14, 2011 around 9 p.m., policeman Liu and others from the Fuqin Police Station in Jinniu District broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Hui's home and took her away. She began a hunger strike against the persecution, and was held in the prison hospital (Qingyang District Xinhuashequ Heath Service Center.) She has been in critical condition a number of times.
Under the persecution at the hands of Jinniu District Political and Judiciary Committee and 610 Office, her husband divorced her and took her five-year-old son. She has been in detention over a dozen times, arrested eight times, sentenced to labor camp, and detained at home. When she was released from Chuanxi Woman's Prison on October 11th 2006, she was directly transferred to Xinjin Brainwashing Center for three more years. She was deprived of her job, her identity, her family, and her basic rights. She was persecuted to critical condition a number of times, and suffered multiple internal organ failures.
Liu Hui was an outstanding teacher in Jinqinlu Elementary School in Jinniu District. When she was held in Longquan Woman's Prison, two so-called “People's Representatives” came to talk with her. They told her that her students had grown up and become bolder. When they visited her former students, they all said: “Our teacher is a good person, you should not hold her in prison!”
1. Brutal Beatings, Forced Labor Camp, Prison, Brainwashing
a. Persecution at the Hands of Jinniu District Police
During the New Years Holiday in 2000, Xiangnong Police arrested and detained Liu Hui. Because she refused to read a newspaper that slandered Dafa, she was forced to stand for a long period of time, and the guards in the detention center beat her on a daily basis. She was forced to stand and listen to high pitched radio broadcasts slandering Dafa every day. Later she was detained for 32 days. Since she did exercises in the detention center, her sentence was extended for 30 days. The first 15 days she was shackled and her hands were cuffed behind her back. After she was released, the police ordered her family to lock her inside the home, and she was not permitted to go out. When she broke out in February of 2000, her workplace fined her 30,000 yuan.
When Liu Hui and her child went to a park on May 20, 2000, she met a fellow practitioner and chatted for a while. A plainclothes policeman arrested them, stating that they were assembling unlawfully. The police beat them in front of a crowd in the park. Later Liu Hui was taken to Xiangnong Police Station. She refused to commit perjury and was detained for 30 days. Because she did exercises in the detention center, the guard wrapped her arms and legs around a pole and handcuffed and shackled her. She began a hunger strike, but the guards force-fed her. They left the feeding tube inserted for over 24 hours. It was covered with blood, and she developed a low grade fever and had difficulty breathing.
On July 9, 2000, Liu Hui visited a fellow practitioner with her child. Citangjie Police broke into the practitioner's home and arrested Liu Hui, since she did not have her ID, which had been confiscated by police long ago. When the police dragged her out, they pushed the sofa which pinched her child, and he began to cry. The policeman yelled: “Serves you right!” They dragged Liu Hui, pinched her arm, cursed her, and used the radio at the highest volume to torture her. This lasted for over 10 hours.
That night, she was transferred to Xiangnong Police Station with her four-year-old child. She did not eat or drink all day and it was already 1a.m. She demanded their immediate release. When the on-duty policeman took her to the courtyard, her child ran after her. When he hit Liu Hui, he accidentally hit the child, who flew several meters and landed on his head. He cried for a long time. The director, Wu Bo, twisted Liu Hui's hands behind her back and cuffed her.
On February 6, 2001, Liu Hui was sending out truth clarification material regarding the staged “Tiananmen Self Immolation,” when the Qingyangzhengjie Police arrested her. The guards beat her at the police station. She began a hunger strike, so they force-fed her while her hands were cuffed behind her back. Seven or eight people pushed her to the ground, pinched her nose, and used a metal spoon and another object to force her mouth open.
b. Brutal Persecution in Labor Camp
When Liu Hui was in Nanmushi Labor Camp in Sichuan, guards instigated other inmates to torture her. They used a metal spoon to beat her face, and force-fed her hot chili peppers. When she was exhausted, three inmates used metal spoons to force her mouth open. They broke several spoons, made her tooth loose and bleeding, and bruised her face. They tortured her while they force-fed her, sometimes pouring rice over her face, or water on her neck. She was also forced to sit under the baking sun for a long period of time.
The guards deprived Liu Hui of sleep by forcing her to sit on a small bench or stand up, day and night until she passed out. They beat her and shocked her with electric batons. After she was on hunger strike for over 6 months, she was extremely emaciated and weak, and also lost her vision. She passed out during a torture session conducted by guards, and was injured when her head hit the rim of the bed.
c. Persecution Suffered in Four Years of Prison
On September 28, 2003, Jinniu District 610 Office and Court sentenced Liu Hui to four years and she was sent to Chuanxi Women's Prison in Longquanyi, Chengdu City. She held firm to her belief, and refused to wear the inmate uniform. She was held in solitary confinement and stripped of her clothes. She could only cover herself with a bed sheet even in the frigid winter. She was force-fed numerous times.
Because she refused to be “transformed,” when she was released from prison on October 11, 2006, the authorities transferred her to a brainwashing center for another three years.
2. People Moved by the Kindness and Perseverance of Falun Gong practitioners
a. Renewed Life after Obtaining Dafa
Liu Hui had had an operation to correct her severe nearsightedness, but it had unforeseen complications, so she had to bind her eyes during the night in order to see clearly in the morning. But if she bound them too tight, her eyes would be teary and swollen with blurred vision, and if she bound them too loose, she would have double vision. She suffered the symptoms for seven years and developed a fear that she would go blind some day, causing her to be tense and impatient.
On November 4, 1997, after she read Zhuan Falun only twice, she woke up, and suddenly discovered that the world had become much brighter. After one month, her numerous illnesses were all gone! Her character improved as well, and she was able to be considerate, and treat others kindly. She developed a very good relationship with her 56 students in class.
b. Treated Guards and Inmates with Kindness
Even though Liu Hui suffered brutal persecution in prison, she remained kind and patiently clarified the truth to guards and inmates. She had no resentment towards guards or inmates, and kept searching within to see where she could do better. The guards and inmates were moved by her kindness, stopped abusing her, and asked her to help them withdraw from the CCP and related organizations.
When she was transferred to Xinjin Brainwashing Center, director Hu had guard He Chengyan beat her in front of a crowd. When she learned that they mixed an unknown substance into her food, she began a hunger strike. Guard Yang Xiuqing and others force-fed her. They opened her mouth wide, and force-fed raw egg which gave her diarrhea, and concentrated salt water which made her vomit. They also force-fed rice mixed with an unknown substance.
3. Jinniu district Political and Judiciary Committee's Crimes
Jinniu District has been very active in persecuting Falun Gong over the last ten years. The perpetrators include 610 Office Director Li Xingming, Vice Director Li Yong, Zhang Hongtao, District Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Wu Shiquan, Long Xingyu, Vice Secretary Wu Wei, Xie Lejie, District Police Department Director Dong Shihuai, Vice Director Li Gang, and Liu Yabo. According to local statistics over the last 13 years, these perpetrators arrested Falun Gong practitioners over 302 times, tortured 14 people to death, illegally sentenced 39 people, sent 47 people to labor camp, caused two people to become mentally ill, and sent 11 people to Xinhuashequ Health Service Center in Qingyang District.
Falun Gong practitioner Yao Wu left Chengdu on September 3, 1999 to go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She called once on September 8, 1999, but that is the last time anyone has heard from her. She has been missing for the last 13 years. She lived at Apt. 1-2-1, 14 Fuqinxijienanyixiang, Jinniu District Chengdu City. She used to work for Sichuan Province No. 12 Construction Company. Her family did not dare to mention her story until today, as they are still terrified.
The crimes of persecuting kind people continue in Jinniu District today.
On May 10, 2012, Jinniu Court sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Xiu Li, Liu Xiaohong, and Qiu Yan to four and a half years in prison. Falun Gong practitioner Xiu Li declared that practicing Falun Gong was not a crime, and appealed her case to upper level court.
On May 16, 2012, police from Changsi County Police Department and Domestic Security in Guangyuan along with Jinquan Police Station in Chengdu broke into Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Siwei's home, and took him away.
On July 5, 2012, Jinniu Court brought Falun Gong practitioner Liu Jian from Hunan Province to trial.
Since July 1999, Jinniu District Political and Judiciary Committee has manipulated the legal system in the implementation of the genocidal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. They arrested, detained, tortured and sentenced numerous Falun Gong practitioners, causing many to be wounded, disabled or dead.
