(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Jilin City, Mr. Li Zhijun, his wife Ms. Guo Hongqin, his daughter Ms. Li Xintong, and his son-in-law Mr. Yu Hong, were arrested, their homes searched and their property confiscated. Ms. Guo Hongqin and Ms. Li Xintong were transferred to the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun, and Mr. Li Zhijun and Mr. Yu Hong were transferred to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp on September 3, 2012, twenty five days after they were detained. They were subject to further persecution.
On August 9, 2012 at about 10 a.m., the Domestic Security Division from Chuanying District, Jilin City and the director of the Henanjie Police Station colluded with 7 or 8 plainclothes police officers to arrest Ms. Guo Hongqin and her husband Mr. Li Zhijun. The police officers rode in two vehicles and went to ransack Ms. Guo's home, which is located at Guangming Hutong, Chuanying District. The officers covered the elderly couple's heads with cloth bags and arrested them. And they continued to confiscate objects from their home for 2 hours and returned again in the afternoon to take more.
Officers from the Henanjie Police Station broke into the home of Mr. Li Zhijun's daughter on the same afternoon. The officers arrested his daughter, Ms. Li Xintong, and his son-in-law, Mr. Yu Hong, searched their home and confiscated property. They took computers, cash, and other items. Mr. Yu Hong's father went to his son's home where he was also arrested. The police officers then went to Mr. Hong Yu father's home, searched and confiscated property.
Ms. Li Xintong and Mr. Yu Hong were locked up in Jilin Detention Center. Ms. Li's parents were first taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center in Jilin City. They were transferred to the Jilin Detention Center on the morning of August 18, 2012. Ms. Li Xintong and Mr. Yu Hong were harassed, arrested, forced to do labor and persecuted.
The families of Mr. Li and Mr. Yu learned that the four relatives had been separated on September 3, 2012 when they went to the Chuanying District Police Department and the Henan Police Station. The men had been transferred to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp and Ms. Li and Ms. Guo to the Changchun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province. Mr. Li Zhijun and Ms. Guo Hongqin were sentenced to one year of forced labor and Ms. Li Xintong and Mr. Yu Hong for one and a half years.
Their family members questioned why they were arrested. Li Wenbo, the case manager said, “Don't you know? The country has determined that Falun Gong is an evil religion. We aren't bandits. We had a search warrant and evidence on video as well as from the local residents and community.” The family members demanded that Mr. Yu Hong's computer be returned. A police officer said, “His computer contains information on Falun Gong.” Their family members questioned, “When you transfer someone to another detention place, why don't you notify the family members?” A police officer said, “I told one of your neighbors yesterday afternoon.” The family members figured that they would only inform them the day after transferring them. The officers wanted the family members to sign a note that Mr. Li Zhijun, Ms. Guo Hongqin, Ms. Li Xintong and Mr. Hong Yu were at forced labor camps but the families refused.
Mr. Yu Hong's father demanded that the items confiscated from his son's home be returned. A police officer said, “They are at the Domestic Security Division.” Mr. Yu's father said, “If they are not there, I will find you again and I won't give up until they are returned.” The police officer said, “I will try to search for you again.” Then he took out a bag. Inside the bag was a driver's license and other objects. There was 500 yuan. But the money had been crossed off on the statement listing the objects that had been confiscated.
Family members went to the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun, Jilin Province the next day to see Ms. Guo Hongqin and Ms. Li Xintong. They found out that they had tried to forcibly transform the mother and daughter by persecuting them. Unknown substances had been forced down their throats.
Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province requested that family members bring Mr. Li Zhijun and Mr. Yu Hong cotton-padded shoes. It was a hot summer and they didn't know what kind of slave labor the camp was forcing them to do. The family is very worried about Mr. Li Zhijun's condition over these past two months.
