Additional Persecution News from China – October 20, 2012 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing] More Information on Practitioners Arrested in the Yongchuan District

Ms. Luo Taixiu, 61, was arrested in November 2011 and sentenced to two years in a women’s forced labor camp.

Ms. Kuang Minghua, 60, was arrested on February 23, 2012 and sentenced to two years in a women's forced labor camp.

Ms. Wang Tianlian, in her forties, was arrested on April 16, 2012 and her home was ransacked. She was held at a brainwashing center for two months before being sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp.

Ms. Liu Yuanxue, around 60 years old, Mr. Yao Rongxuan, 58, and Mr. Dai Dakui, 72, were arrested on April 16, 2012, and their homes were ransacked. They were detained in a brainwashing center for months before being transferred to a detention center where they are currently being held. Mr. Dai Dakui was tried on October 16, 2012.

2. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Xie Hongdeng Arrested

Mr. Xie Hongdeng from northern Xi'an City, had his home ransacked on September 28, 2012. He was arrested two days later.

3. [Harbin City, Helongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Libo Illegally on Trial

Mr. Zhao was tried at the Liming Court, Dongli District in Harbin City on October 19, 2012.

4. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] More Information on Ms. Peng Meihua's Arrest

Ms. Peng Meihua, around 50 years old, from Guolexincun, Xujiafang Erjin Community, Qingyunpu District in Nanchang City, was arrested on April 7, 2012. She had been monitored by officials while she clarified the truth on the Internet. She is being held at the Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center. Ms. Peng's husband is mentally ill and needs Ms. Peng's help in his daily life.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Li Shiying, 70, Arrested

Ms. Li Shiying, around 70 years old, from the Nanyuan area of Beijing, was arrested on the afternoon of October 13, 2012. She is being held at the Jiugong Police Station in Daxing County, Beijing. Her family has not been allowed to visit her. Officers from Jiugong Police Station and Nanyuan Police Station in the Fengtai District of Beijing ransacked her home that same evening. Ms. Li has already been sentenced twice to forced labor.

6. [Laiyuan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Yingqiong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xu Yingqiong, a teacher from Laiyuan County No. 2 High School, was arrested at home on October 15, 2012 for talking about Falun Gong to students in her class. She was reported by a parent of a student. She has been transferred to the Qingyuan Brainwashing Center in Baoding City, Hebei Province.

7. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Information on Arrests of Ms. Wang Hui and Mr. Xu Yannian

Ms. Wang Hui and Mr. Xu Yannian from Urumqi City were arrested on August 17, 2012. Ms. Wang is being held at the Liudaowan Forced Labor Camp, and Mr. Xu is being held at the Xishan Detention Center.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Hong Arrested on October 19, 2012

9. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Xiaowei Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiaowei from Shaoguo Town, Nong'an County was arrested at her mother's home by four to five plainclothes agents on October 18, 2012. The home was ransacked, and her Dafa books, MP3 and MP5 players, DVDs, two cell phones, and other items were confiscated. Her electric rice cooker was turned up side down. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Mr. Yuan Wenxin Arrested

Mr. Yuan Wenxin was arrested just outside his home by officials from the Yitong County 610 Office and the local Residential Committee on the morning of October 19, 2012. He was then immediately transferred to Changchun City Brainwashing Center.

11. [Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Chen Linfen Arrested

Ms. Chen Linfen, 58, from Zhangzhou City was arrested by officers from Nankeng Police Station and Xiangcheng District Police Department on the morning of October 16, 2012. She is being held at the Zhangzhou City No. 1 Detention Center. Her home was ransacked by three officers from the Xiangcheng Domestic Security Division and Xiqiao Police Station, and people from her local residential committee. Her Dafa books were confiscated.

Ms. Chen had previously been arrested by officers from Changtai Domestic Security Division on May 15, 2011. She was sentenced to one year in the Fujian Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. The guards ordered inmates to limit Ms. Chen's water usage. They also deprived her of restroom use, taking showers, sleeping etc. They also tortured her in many ways, including forcing her to sit on a small tool for long periods of time, putting a towel into her mouth which was soaked with urine, and extending her sentence.

12. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Ping Arrested on the Morning of October 16, 2012

13. [Beijing] Mr. Li Foyuan transferred to Miyun Detention Center

Mr. Li Foyuan from Miyun County in Beijing was arrested on April 4, 2012. It is known that he was transferred to the Miyun County Detention Center from the Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing. His family was not allowed to see him. There has been no further news about him.

14. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yanqin Arrested

Ms. Wang Yanqin, 51, from Qian'an City was arrested at her home by Pu Yonglai, an officer from the local Domestic Security Division on October 17, 2012. Her husband has an illness from a chronic stroke condition, and needs people to look after him. He fell down when Ms. Wang was arrested at their home and could not stand up by himself.

15. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Lin Guilai Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Lin Guilai was arrested at home on August 6, 2012, by officials from the Comprehensive Management Office of the Taiping Sub-district Office and officers from Taiping Police Station. He was then transferred to the Xinchang Brainwashing Center. He was released on August 12, 2012.

16. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner With the Surname He is Being Held at Chongli Town Detention Center

A practitioner whose surname is He from Dongbo District, Meishan City was arrested on October 16, 2012. He is being held at Chongli Town Detention Center in Dongpo District, Meishan City.

17. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yuan Dongbo and Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yuan Dongbo, her husband Mr. Ding Shijian, Ms. Li Dongzhi, Ms. Xiong Yuzhen, Ms. Xiong Bifang, and her son Mr. Zhang Yimin were arrested at their homes on October 17, 2012. They are being held at the Baiheshan Detention Center.

18. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tian Qingxiang Arrested

Ms. Tian Qingxiang, originally from the Yuanjiang area, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, moved to Changsha City in order to avoid persecution. She was recently arrested there and has been taken back to Yuanjiang City while handcuffed, by officers from the Yuanjiang Domestic Security Division. Ms. Tian is being held at the Qingyunshan Police Station in Yuanjiang City.

Ms. Du Hongxiu from Xihu Town, Yingzhou District, Fuyang City was arrested by officers from the Xihu Police Station on October 18, 2012. She was taken to the Fuyang Detention Center.

20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ruiqing Taken to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Wang Ruiqing from Xinzhuang Village, Baoshui District, Weifang City was arrested by officers from the Baoshui District Domestic Security Division and Xujiazhuang Sub-district Office on September 6, 2012. Her home was ransacked. She was transferred to Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp on September 28, 2012.

21. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Hemin Harassed

Party secretary Xu Liguo from Taoyuan Village, Changli County, Qinhuangdao City, and Bai Yong and Li Delong from the Xinji Town 610 Office, burst into Mr. Zhang Hemin's home to harass him on October 17, 2012. Luckily, Mr. Zhang was not at home. Xu Liguo then phoned Mr. Zhang and told him to come back home for a talk. Mr. Zhang refused.

22. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Qi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Qi, a teacher from the Rizhao City Water Conservancy Academy, was arrested by Huang Jinlong and others from the Donggang District 610 Office while she was on her way to work on the morning of October 19, 2012. Officials from the Donggang District 610 Office wanted to send her to Jinan Brainwashing Center.

23. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Meirong and Another Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. He Meirong, Ms. Chen Huanxiang, and Ms. Tang Huanxiang from Zaoshi Town in Tianmen City were arrested by officials from the Hubei 610 Office, and officers from Tianmen City Police Department and Zaoshi Town Police Station on October 17, 2012. Ms. He is an English teacher at the high school, and was arrested while she was teaching in school. Ms. Chen is retired. Ms. Tang is in her sixties and self-employed. Ms. Chen 's computer, printer, Dafa books, DVD writer, DVDs, and some cash were confiscated. Ms. Tang's laptop and desktop computers were confiscated.

24. [Xinyi City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Qiao Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Qiao from Xinyi City was arrested by officers from An'e Town Police Station while she was distributing truth clarifying materials on August 14, 2012. She was taken to the Chengnan Police Station in Xinyi City that same evening. Officials from the local Political and Legal Affairs Committee and 610 Office ransacked Ms. Li's home the following day, and her computer, printer, and other items were confiscated.

Ms. Li was detained at the Xinyi City Drug Rehabilitation Center for 15 days and then transferred to the Maoming City Brainwashing Center.
