(Minghui.org) Although the police and 610 Office in Guang'an, Sichuan Province, have been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for more than 13 years, their deeds haven't yet been exposed to the public.
The director of the Domestic Security Division in Guang'an has prohibited the media from using his name in any reports. A Domestic Security Group has been set up at the Guang'an City Police Station and in several surrounding areas and counties, including the Guang'an District, Huaying, Wusheng, Yuechi, and Lingshui. At the township level, there are Domestic Security Offices. The domestic security system is run within the police system and is currently under the direction of Deng Wenguo, deputy mayor and director of Guang'an Police, and Wang Xiaolin, vice-director of Guang'an Police. Deng is also the director of the 610 Office and the General Management Office. Deng and Wang are the leaders responsible for the current persecution of Falun Gong in Guang'an.
Recently arrested Falun Gong practitioners include:
-Gong Tianjia from Hengsheng Town, Guang'an, arrested when he was talking about Falun Gong with people in an open market
-Liu Lulan from Wusheng County, stalked and arrested at her home on August 15
-Ju Kaixiu from Baishi Town, Wusheng County, arrested on September 21 and currently detained at Guang'an Detention Center.
-Deng Deyu from Huayin City, arrested while talking about Falun Gong with people on September 24
-Mei Lun from Lingshui County, arrested by Lingshui Domestic Security Group on October 20 and presently detained at Lingshui Detention Center. Mei Lun is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and is in a critical condition.
-Zhou Guifang, 73, from Guang'an, reported to the police by Zhang when she was explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people in a restaurant in Daishi Town, Guang'an. She was later arrested by Dongjie Neighborhood Committee director Hu Wenbing and others, and is presently detained at Huaying Detention Center.
-Zhou Yunzhu and Li Shuyin from Lushi Town, Huaying, arrested by Huaying Domestic Security Division on October 31 and presently detained at Huaying Detention Center. Their home was ransacked and personal belongings such as computers and printers were taken away.
-Wu Wenquan and Chen Xinyi from Lingshui County, arrested on November 3, taken to the Wusheng Brainwashing Center, and held from November 3 to 9
-Cai Yuanyi from Chengnan, Guang'an, arrested at home by Guang'an Police on November 2 and currently detained in Wusheng
Cao Jiguang from Lingshui, experienced an attempted arrest on November 22
-Zhou Yongqun from Guang'an, arrested in Luodu Town on November 12
-Peng Zhang'an, in his 70s, from Yuechi County, Guang'an, arrested by Yuechi Police on November 23 and detained at Yuechi Detention Center from November 24. Mr. Peng was also persecuted in a brainwashing center in October.

Other hidden players in the persecution:
Cheng Yunfu, former director of Guang'an Hydro, was assigned to head the 610 Office in Guang'an in 2008. Because he has not been involved directly in arresting and torturing Falun Gong practitioners, only Xiong Changyong and Huang Guangming have been known publicly as the heads of the 610 Office.
Li Xiangdong is the head of the Domestic Security Division in Guang'an and has been one of the key persecutors, as the domestic security system has been carrying out the major tasks of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Li Xiangdong has another, less known title, director of the Political Department in Guang'an Police Station.
