(Clearwisdom.net) Since the Koreasat-5 satellite began to broadcast the New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) programs to mainland China, many Chinese people have installed the NTDTV reception dish. Since the dish is small and the signal strength is strong, the installation is rather easy.
One afternoon, a neighbor came to my home to talk when I was watching NTDTV. He sat down and watched it with me. The more he watched, the more he liked it, so he kept watching, one program after another: the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, news, “Today’s Focus,” “Commentary,” “Interaction over Hot Topics,” “Divine Culture,” and so on. His conscience was awakened. He said as he watched, “How come these programs are so wonderful. Who installed it for you? Can you do one for me?” He watched till 9:00 p.m. that night before going home.
At about 8:00 p.m., fellow practitioners came to my home to study the Fa and saw my neighbor. We shared our thoughts according to the Fa. I asked if we should install NTDTV for him. One of them said that my neighbor had participated in persecuting practitioners when he served as the police chief, and continued to do so when he was promoted to work at several different locations in the city later. He just retired not long ago, and his children still worked as government officials. He thought we should wait and see.
The next afternoon, my neighbor came to my home to watch the NTDTV programs again. He stayed for several hours as before. Another practitioner and I both realized that this must be an arrangement by Teacher so that he could learn the facts about Dafa and be saved. We thought we should install the receiver for him. Our thought the previous day was actually pushing people away. We needed to help save him and his whole family. We should judge things based on Dafa, and get rid of human notions and attachments. If someone asks to have the dish installed, why do we still have reservations? Everyone today is here for Dafa. Regardless of his job or position, he has a knowing side. We should focus on his good and knowing side to save him.
Teacher cherishes all sentient beings and lives. We are helping Teacher to rectify the Fa and do our best to accomplish what Teacher wants. After some discussion, we decided to ask a practitioner to help him install the receiver. The third day, he came to my house to watch the NTDTV programs. I said, “Tomorrow, I’ll ask my friend to help install one for you, too. And we will not charge you.” He was touched and said, “I will pay you. I will pay you extra.” So he paid us 200 yuan instead of the usual 100. We wanted to return the extra to him, but he declined and said, “Thank you very much. I am happy to pay you extra.” We told him that we appreciated his gratitude, but we could not take his money.
Through this incident, we believe in Fa and Teacher even more. We have elevated as a whole. We realized that we should drop all human notions and fulfill what Teacher wants of us. We truly felt the urgency of saving people and Teacher’s benevolence. The knowing sides of sentient beings are all eagerly waiting for practitioners to tell them the facts about Dafa. As practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, we must study the Fa well and use every way we can to save sentient beings to fulfill our historical missions.
