(Clearwisdom.net) On June 9, 2011, Ms. He Qiuling and two other Falun Gong practitioners went to Changjiawan Village in Baqiao District, Xian, to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. When they went to the village committee, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) staff member reported them to the police, and they were taken to the Hongqi Police Station.
Ms. He resisted the persecution and was transferred to the Xian Legal System Base in Shaanxi Province, which is used as a brainwashing center.
Ms. He's elderly mother, who is in her 70s, went to visit her daughter at the brainwashing center at the end of September 2011. Ms. He’s mother lives far away and had to change buses to reach the destination. When her mother arrived, a group of people from the brainwashing center surrounded her. Li Liang, director of the brainwashing center, snatched the amulet she had around her neck and searched her body. He then kicked her to the ground. She could not get up, and the guards pulled her up and placed her on a wooden board. Ms. He’s mother was very distressed and her blood pressure increased greatly.
Ms. He was subsequently sent to the Shaanxi Women's Forced Labor Camp. When her mother went to visit her in the labor camp, authorities there threatened her mother and said: “You came to see He Qiuling, but you will not be allowed to visit her!”
Since the persecution began, Ms. He has been detained four times. She was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp because she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in 2000. Because she has refused to give up her belief, she has been sent to brainwashing centers three times. She has suffered tremendously due to the persecution. However, she has steadfastly held on to her belief.
