Additional Persecution News from China – February 20, 2012 (11 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin ] Mr. Zhou Xiangyang's Parents Arrested in Front of Binhai Prison

On February 17, Mr. Zhou Xiangyang's parents went to Binhai Prison to ask for the release of their son, whose life is in danger as a result of the torture he suffered in prison. On February 20, at 1:10 a.m., police from the Tactical Unit arrested them at the entrance to Binhai Prison and took them away in an ambulance. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lili Arrested on February 16

3. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Ziyan Arrested

On February 14, Ms. Wang Ziyan from Xinigou Village in Houjia Town, Wendeng City, was arrested by officers from Houjia Town Police Station while she was at home. She was subsequently illegally detained in Wendeng Detention Center.

4. [ Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Lili Arrested

Ms. Yu Lili from the Furong Residential Area, the Weicheng District, was arrested on February 17. Her home was ransacked.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Xiaoming Taken to Luotaishan Resort Brainwashing Center

Mr. Liu Xiaoming, 60 years old, is from Fushun City. He was arrested on February 28, 2003, and sentenced to nine years in prison. Mr. Liu was incarcerated in Shenyang First Prison.

His sentence ends on March 1, 2012. Recently, the Gebu Residential Committee notified the prison to send Mr. Liu straight from prison to Luotaishan Resort Brainwashing Center.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guiqin Arrested on February 13

7. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Shengquan Arrested

On the night of February 16, Mr. Zhang Shengquan from Shiqiaopu, Chongqing, was arrested by Liu Liang, the head of Chongqing State Security Bureau's Third Division, and eight other police officers while he was at home. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Liwei Arrested

On the afternoon of February 9, Mr. Lu Liwei from the Chaoyang District, Changchun City, was arrested by four police officers from the Chaoyang District Domestic Security Division while he was on his way home after picking up his grandson. His Dafa books, a portrait of Dafa's founder Master Li Hongzhi and 2,000 yuan were confiscated from his home. Mr. Lu is currently detained in Weizigou Detention Center.

9. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Ms. Peng Cuihua Detained in Jiuquan Detention Center

On December 16, 2011, 72-year-old practitioner Ms. Peng Cuihua from Jiuquan City was arrested by police officers from the Suzhou District branch office including Li Mingsheng. Ms. Peng had been explaining the facts of the persecution to people. Her house was ransacked. She is presently held in the Suzhou District Detention Center in Jiuquan City.

10. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Xiuhua Arrested

On December 17, 2011, 70-year-old practitioner Ms. Shi Xiuhua was arrested by police from the Wendeng Domestic Security Division and the Gao Village Police Station. They confiscated her computer, printer, and other personal belongings.

11. [Luchuan County, Guangxi] Ms. Liu Xianglan Held in Ouyangshan Detention Center

On the afternoon of February 16, Ms. Liu Xianglan (in her 50s) was posting information exposing the persecution in public places. She was arrested by Fan Bili from Luchuan County 610 Office and others who followed her. Ms. Liu is currently in custody at the Luchuan Ouyangshan Detention Center.
