(Clearwisdom.net) More than two dozen police officers from the Harbin Xiangfang Police Department and the Liushun Police Station broke into Ms. Qi Yaru's home at about 5:00 a.m. on December 31, 2011. Ms. Qi was not at home at the time. They took away her husband and her son, then ransacked her home, and confiscated many belongings. Later, the police went to Ms. Qi's sister's home in Wuzhan Town, Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province and arrested Ms. Qi and her ten-year-old daughter, Miss Wang Shiyuan. On the same day, the police arrested more than 30 other practitioners.

This was the fifth time that Ms. Qi had been arrested. During the past 12 years, her family had suffered long-term separation. Her daughter Shiyuan was recently released, however she has suffered a huge emotional blow after experiencing her mother's arrest. Ms. Qi's 93-year-old father-in-law was shocked and saddened by this sudden incident, and he became sick and bedridden. Now, only the grandfather and Shiyan are home.

Ms. Qi began practicing Falun Gong in May 1998. Her severe long-term hepatitis-B was cured shortly afterward and she became a healthy person again. Meanwhile, she became a kinder and broader-minded person, and took good care of her two children and her father-in-law. The whole family became happier.

However, after the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, her peaceful life was torn apart. She had been arrested, detained, and sentenced to forced labor several times. Her family has been harassed and the home ransacked, as well as had money extorted a few times as well.

At around 7:00 a.m. on July 22, 1999, Ms. Qi was arrested and sent to a stadium. She was detained there until 11:00 p.m.

On the evening of February 4, 2000, Ms. Qi went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong but was beaten and arrested. She was sent to the Harbin Liaison Office. After her family was extorted of 1,000 yuan, she was escorted back to Harbin and detained in the Harbin Second Detention Center. She was released three months later after her family was extorted of over 2,000 yuan.

In June 2000, Ms. Qi was reported to the authorities. Yan Tao, the director of the Liushun Police Station, arrested her and sent her to the Harbin Second Detention Center again. She held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, but was brutally forced-fed with cornmeal and salty water. Twenty-some days later, the police extorted 500 yuan and released her.

At around 3:00 p.m. on April 10, 2003, police office Zhou Dianlin and Ma Wenwu of the Liushun Police Station, along with the two officials from the local residential committee, broke into Ms. Qi's home and ransacked it. They also confiscated her personal belongings.

On March 6, 2005, while Ms. Qi and her son were waiting for the bus at a bus station, Zhou Dianlin and two other police officers arrested her and ransacked her home again. She was later sentenced to three years in prison. On April 21, 2005, she was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin.

During her detention at the labor camp, Ms. Qi was forced to sit on small stool for long periods of time, squat on a small brick with her hands behind her back, and read and watch material that defamed Falun Gong. She was also often beaten. Camp guard Wu Baoyun and section head Yao Fuchang handcuffed her hands behind her back and hung her up, with her feet not touching the ground. They shocked her sensitive body parts with electric batons in attempts to force her to renounce Falun Gong.

On July 17, 2009, two officials from the local residential committee came to her home to try to force her to renounce Falun Gong. Since she was not home, so they tried to force her husband to write the letter.

For the past 12 years, Ms. Qi and her family has suffered much hardship from the persecution. She has now been arrested again, and her husband Mr. Wang Dejun and son Mr. Wang Qi have also been arrested. The entire family has been broken apart.
