(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 11 provinces. As per this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Sun Tao and Ms. Qi Guoqin were arrested on February 25, 2012. Their homes were ransacked and many of their personal belongings were confiscated. Mr. Sun's private car was also taken. Both practitioners are currently held in the Dongjiao Police Station.

3. [Huarong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Yan Congxi and Ms. Cai Guijiao Detained

Mr. Yan Congxi and Ms. Cai Guijiao from Qianlianghu were arrested as they distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in Huarong County. The two practitioners are being held in the Ma'an New Area Police Station.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Zheng Arrested; His Home Ransacked

Following the arrest of Mr. Yang Zheng from Fengnan District, the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) agents ransacked his home and confiscated three computers and printers.

Ms. Wang was arrested on February 25, 2012, and is currently detained in the Baoding Detention Center.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Qing and Another Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Liu Qing and another practitioner were arrested on the evening of February 26, 2012.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Chen Ying Arrested; Her Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Chen Ying was arrested at work on February 27, 2012. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Yinshen Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

When Ms. Zhang Ying's younger brother, Mr. Zhang Yinshen, heard that she was arrested on July 26, 2010, he went to help her. However, he was subsequently arrested and sentenced to seven years in prison.

9. [Liaocheng, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners from Gaotang County were arrested on the afternoon of February 25, 2012, including Ms. Chen Xia, Mr. Guo Zhenjie, Ms. Jia Xiuhua and five practitioners from the Jidier Company. The eight practitioners' homes were ransacked, and their computers, printers, copiers, cell phones, cash and other personal belongings were confiscated.

In addition, Mr. Li Chengmin from Chiping County was arrested at home on the afternoon of February 25, 2012.

Another practitioner, from Jinhaozhuang in Linqing City, was arrested on the morning of February 24, 2012.

10. [Dongying, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xuerong Brutally Beaten in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Xuerong, near 70, from Shengli Oil Field, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on February 23, 2012. She was ruthlessly beaten there.

11. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Ms. Gong Xiangrui Put on Trial

Ms. Gong Xiangrui from Nanlidian Village, Xinzhongyi Township, was arrested by officers from the Shimenqiao Police Station and taken to the Renqiu Police Department on December 21, 2011. That same afternoon, Renqiu Domestic Security Division agents ransacked her home, confiscating informational materials about Falun Gong and more than 9,000 yuan in cash.

Ms. Gong was twice sent to a detention center, but the center's officials refused to take her in. When Renqiu City Domestic Security Division agents sent her to the detention center for the third time, she was detained there.

Renqiu City Court officials tried Ms. Gong on February 27, 2012. They did not allow Ms. Gong's family to observe the court proceedings.

12. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Chunhua and Mr. Zhou Shaotang Arrested

Ms. Yang Chunhua and Mr. Zhou Shaotang were arrested on the morning of February 28, 2012, on their way to a market in Shixin Town. Officers from the Shixin Town Police Station made the arrest and held the practitioners in the police station.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Xiaolin Arrested; Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Li Xiaolin from Changshou District was arrested on February 23, 2012, as she posted information about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

14. [Xianning, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Jinyan Harassed at Home

Four Jiayu County 610 Office agents, including Wang Furong, harassed Ms. Wang Jinyan at home on the morning of February 28, 2012.

Ms. Ma Zongqi from Beiwangzhuang Village, Zhoujiazhuang Township, was arrested on the morning of February 25, 2012, and is currently held in a detention center.

16. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Juntao Arrested; Her Home Ransacked

Yaojiafang Police Station officers arrested Ms. Wu Juntao from Ertaizi, Gaoxin District, on the afternoon of February 24, 2012. They ransacked her home and confiscated many of her personal belongings, including her computer, Falun Gong books and the image of Falun Gong's founder, her cell phone and her daughter’s cell phone.

17. [Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Guifang Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor

Ms. Xu Guifang has been sentenced to two years of forced labor.

18. [Changle City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Yuxiang Secretly Sentenced and Sent to Jinan Prison

Changle Domestic Security Division agents covertly arrested Mr. Gao Yuxiang from Junqiuguan Village, Qiaoguan Town, in November 2011. He was secretly sentenced by the Changle 610 Office before the Chinese New Year and subsequently sent to Jinan Prison.

Jiangyin City 610 Office officials arrested Mr. Zhu Xinghe and ransacked his home on February 19, 2012. Mr. Zhu is currently detained in the Wuxi City Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Du from Hedong District was arrested at noon on February 22, 2012, by officers from the Dazhigu Police Station. She is currently detained in the Shaliu Road Detention Center.

21. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zongzhi Arrested; Her Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Zongzhi from Wanshan Township was arrested on February 24, 2012. The police also took her husband, Mr. Zhou Mingan, who doesn't practice Falun Gong, into custody and didn’t release him until they extorted 10,000 yuan in cash from him. The police ransacked the couple's home and confiscated two computers and a printer.

The police agents took Ms. Wang to Liaocheng City for a physical examination on February 28, 2012. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

22. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yulan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested on November 20, 2011, and is reported to be facing illegal sentencing.

23. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Chunyan Arrested

Jidong County Domestic Security Division agents in Suiyang City arrested Ms. Wang Chunyanon on the morning of February 23, 2012.

24. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Huazhen and Her Mother, Ms. Wang Zufang, Detained

Jiangshan Police Station officers arrested Ms. Li Huazhen and her mother, Ms. Wang Zufang, from Xiejiazekou Village, Jiangshan Town, on the morning of February 9, 2012, while the practitioners distributed informtional materials about Falun Gong in the Xinglongzhuang Market. The women are currently in detention.

25. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Jinxiu Sentenced to Forced Labor

Kuaizixiang Police Station officers arrested Ms. Zhang Jinxiu while she spoke to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 10, 2012. She was subsequently sent to the Nanchang City No. 3 Detention Center. Ms. Zhang was recently sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.

26. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liao Jianping Tortured in Detention

Mr. Liao Jianping has been tortured at the Sandong Drug Rehabilitation Center (used as a detention facility) in the Huiyang District.

27. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yinxian Arrested

Ms. Wang Yinxian was arrested on February 14, 2012.

28. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Changchun Arrested

Officials from the Zibo City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Wang Changchun on February 28, 2012.

29. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] More Than 20 Practitioners Arrested

Tangshan City police arrested 27 practitioners from Fengrun and Kaiping districts of Tangshan City, Tanghai County, on February 25, 2012. Some of their family members were also taken into custody. The police ransacked many practitioners' homes.

The following are partial details of this case:

Ms. Xu Suqin, from the Nanchanggongfang area in Lunan District, was arrested with two of her family members. Their home was also ransacked.

Ms. Tong Sufen was arrested by officers from the Xingyuandao Police Station on Dali Road.

Ms. Zhang Ruifeng from the Yuanding Building was arrested, and her home was ransacked.

Mr. Bian Lichao was arrested and sent to the Tangshan City No. 2 Detention Center. His wife, Ms. Zhou Xiuzhi (a non-ptractitioner), was also arrested and sent to the Tangshan City Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Laidong and his wife from Qianjiaying, Fengnan District, were taken into custody.

30. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Guilan Sentenced to Prison

Beilin District 610 Office head Li Jianfei and other police officers from Suihua City arrested Ms. Zhou Guilan on September 15, 2011. Shortly prior to the Chinese New Year, she was sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. Ms. Zhou is currently held in the Suihua City Detention Center.
