(Minghui.org) I make my living by running a small business near the police station, so I am always in contact with the policemen. In the process, I have gotten to know them. Most of them have a certain degree of kindness, but they are afraid of the darkness and cruelty of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and so they bury their kindness deep in themselves. They do what their superiors order them to do, drifting along with the big wave. Many feel that there is nothing else they can do.

“Are there any DVD's about Falun Gong?”
One head of the Justice Department always came to shop at my place. I was thinking about clarifying the facts to him and helping him withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. One day he saw that I had several DVDs, and suddenly asked, “Do you have some with Falun Gong information?” I said smiling, “I do not have any now.” Others standing by said that we should not make such a joke. I thought to myself, isn’t that a hint from Master? A day later, this same man came by to chat with me. I talked to him in a low voice, “I have DVDs about the veteran policeman Ye Hao. The story is very good; do you want to see it?” He looked back and looked around, and said, “OK.” I said, “When you have finished watching you can show your friends or give it back to me. This DVD is very hard to come by; an unknown man gave it to me.”
Two days later he told me, “This DVD is so good. Do you have the next DVD in the series?” I thought that this man must have a very big predestined relationship with Dafa. He seemed to know the truth without my telling him. Then I gave him a Shen Yun DVD, a Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party DVD and others. When he came back again I asked him if he would let me help him withdraw from the CCP. He said with a definite tone, “Fine!” Then I told him, “Whenever you have a Falun Gong case, you should make it easy for practitioners and protect them. If you do so, you and your family will receive good returns.” He agreed that it was important to treat Falun Gong practitioners well and said that all who worked at the police station, the Prosecution Department and the Judicial Department knew the true picture of the CCP.

Policemen Who Know the Truth Secretly Protect Falun Gong Practitioners
One Dafa disciple who is about 50 years old was delivering truth-clarification materials when she was discovered by community staff members. They blocked her, forced her inside a building and grabbed her bag of materials. Just at that time the policeman who was responsible for that area came by and said, “Give her to me and you guys keep looking around.” He asked for the bag back and waited until no one was around. Then he told that Dafa practitioner, “Aunt, these days the higher level personnel (meaning the 610 Office and others) will check here, so you need to be careful. Any building with open gates will have spies. Now you can go.” The practitioner took back the bag and said with a smile, “Thank you, young man. You have helped prevent a Dafa disciple from being persecuted and therefore you will receive good rewards!”
One day, the local police station in a residential area of an oilfield operation received a call. The caller said that Falun Gong materials had been found in a building. He said that the police should take a look. The police chief immediately asked two policemen on duty to check it out. A day passed, and the caller called again and said the policemen did not go upstairs to investigate the matter. They just walked around the building once and left. The caller said that the police should come again. The police chief became annoyed. He asked the on-duty policemen to accompany him. The police chief had to climb to the sixth floor several times, which tired him out.
The police chief went home and told his family member, who was a Falun Gong practitioner, “The Falun Gong materials were put up too high up on the wall. Nobody dared to pull them off and we were afraid of being punished by heaven. Since somebody had reported this case already, I had to go check it out with some of my men. Could you guys change your method of clarifying the truth?” The whole time that this officer was police chief, he did not send even one Falun Gong practitioner to his higher level superiors. Later, he was transferred to a better position.

Clarifying the Truth to a Police Bureau Head and Requesting Him to Release a Practitioner
A Dafa practitioner living in the countryside of my town handed out Dafa materials in the evening and was reported by a man who did not know the truth. The local police chief came with his co-worker to arrest the practitioner and put her in the detention center. I know the police chief personally. When I heard about this case, I went to check with him and asked for information.
After seeing him, I explained the purpose of my visit. I told him that this Falun Gong practitioner is my relative and that I wanted to take her home. He ordered his assistant to ask for information about the case and told him make a call, telling the detention center guards that the family needed to visit. I brought some fruit with me and went to the detention center. The guard would not let me in with my fruit. I knew he wanted a bribe, so I left some fruit for him. I went into the office and talked to the policeman responsible for handling the practitioner. He told me to pay her food fee. I did not give it a second thought and just wanted to get the person out of jail, so I paid nearly 500 yuan (actually the cost was less than 200 yuan). Then I was allowed to visit the practitioner and I saw that she was very calm. I was moved. She told me about her experience. I asked, “Did the policemen hit you or not?” She pulled up her pant leg and showed me that her leg above her ankle was swollen. Apparently she had been kicked. She said that the police chief and his co-workers had tortured her. She told me that since she did not give them any information about other practitioners, they hit her. I talked to her briefly and I came back to the office. I told the staff, “You should not hit her anymore and in two days I will come back for her.” The policeman who was in charge said, “We would not hit people. This is just like a warehouse and we just keep an eye on everything and make sure that nothing is missing; that’s our job.”
I went back to the police bureau and told the chief that the police had hit the practitioner. He became panicked: “You should not say we are hitting people! The chief had just gotten divorced from his wife. He drank too much. I will teach him a lesson later.” I said, “You should release the practitioner immediately; otherwise I will come to you again.” The police chief questioned the deputy. The deputy said that he had already reported the case to a higher level. I told the chief very sternly, “I am not asking you to do me any favors for this case. The person is in your charge. Whether or not she is sent away is up to you. You all know that Falun Gong practitioners are good people. If you persecute good people, in the future that will be your responsibility. Your bureau has not yet been criticized by the Minghui website. I am waiting to pick up the practitioner.” The police chief said in a kind voice, “Please go home and let us consider this.” Several days later the practitioner was released.

A 610 Official Gives Me Apples
One day a person from my hometown who worked in a government office told me that somebody who used to be our co-worker had been transferred to work in the 610 Office. This man used to be a good worker and seemed to be a fairly decent person. I decided to clarify the truth to him and help him quit the CCP. The 610 Office had a notoriously bad reputation; therefore, it didn’t even dare to hang a sign outside of the office to identify itself to the public. I tried several places but failed to find the location. I had to ask someone to tell him that I had something to discuss with him.
Early one morning he came to the market where I was working to chat with me. I asked him if he worked in the 610 Office. He immediately said no. I did not want to argue with him. I said, “The people who choose to practice Falun Gong just want to have a healthy body, a good mind and to be a good person. However, your men always arrest them, ransack their homes, even beat them to death. Do your men intend to persecute good people?” He did not want to hear what I said. He said, “You people should stay home to practice instead of spreading the word everywhere.” I answered, “Jiang’s regime controls the television and newspapers and uses them to smear Falun Gong and to say that it is an evil cult. They do not allow practitioners to appeal their case and do not allow lawyers to defend them. Chinese citizens were all fooled and they were led to misunderstand Falun Gong. What can we do? Falun Gong practitioners think of many ways to spread the truth. They spend their own money to make materials to give to the people. What law did they break? The Constitution has been amended several times and not one of the amendments says that practicing Falun Gong is illegal! Jiang’s regime has more power than the law. They sentence Falun Gong practitioners without notifying their family members. They sentence the practitioners secretly without going through the normal court system. They do not accept any appeals. They secretly jail practitioners and have killed over 3,000 practitioners – and these are the ones that we know about. In the detention centers, labor camps and jails, they use all kinds of base and brutal torture tools to cruelly persecute practitioners. When the authorities come to visit, they immediately put these people into underground basement rooms. They decorate the jail with flowers and show them that the dining room serves white rice and stewed meats. They have the obedient prisoners sing and dance to fool the media and the world. Many people around the world have sued Jiang Zemin and other high level officials who are actively persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. They have been put on trial for torture, genocide, and crimes against humanity.”
The next day, he came to my place again. He raised many questions that he did not understand about Falun Gong and I answered them one by one. I told him, “You know about the previous state of my health. Since I have been practicing Falun Gong, I have changed into a different person. I have nothing to be proud of in my life except for practicing Falun Gong, which benefits me greatly. Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong, is a noble man. He not only saves Chinese people, but also has traveled the whole world to spread the truth to overseas people as well. The principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance benefits the whole world. You really should know the truth! If you follow this rotten party to do bad things, what kind of future results you will get?” He sighed and said, “I have no choice but to do this work; the good part is that I will retire soon.” I told him, “You should withdraw from the CCP, and you will have a good future.” He smiled and agreed. Then he left to go shopping. After a while, he came back and presented me with a bag of big, red apples.
