(Minghui.org) The Shenzhen Futian District Court held a third illegal trial for Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Hongzhou at 2:30 p.m. on March 22, 2012. The trial was held in the fifth courtroom of the District Court at 123 Fumin Road, Futian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. Mr. Li was illegally arrested and detained for almost one year and has yet to see his newborn child.
This case was rejected three times for lack of evidence. The 610 Office of the Futian Police Department created false evidence and brought the case files back to the Procuratorate for the fourth time at the end of August 2011, and the first illegal trial was held on November 3 of that year. The second trial was held on February 23 of this year, and the third one was held on March 22. A lawyer involved in the case has stated that this has already violated the law because the person must be released after two case rejections.
Mr. Li, 38, is a man of high integrity and many talents. He was arrested on March 26, 2011 by the Shenzhen City Domestic Security Team and the 610 Office of the Futian District Police Sub-bureau, and was detained at the Futian District Detention Center. He has elderly parents and a newborn child at home, who depend on him entirely for financial support. His family members have been visiting every law enforcement agency in Shenzhen in search of justice, and are calling out for kind people everywhere to lend a helping hand.
A Kind Young Man
Mr. Li Hongzhou, originally from Weinan City, Shanxi Province, had had migraines when he read books since a young age, and he would be in extreme pain from those headaches every night after 10 p.m. He also had many stomach problems and frequently vomited after meals. These problems could not be cured for any length of time. He was unable to find relief in hospitals, or after practicing many forms of qigong. After he began practicing Falun Gong, these symptoms disappeared miraculously. As someone who benefitted personally from practicing, Mr. Li is eternally grateful to Teacher Li and Dafa.
As a person, Mr. Li is loyal and righteous. His kind character is widely praised by friends, relatives, and colleagues. Mr. Li lives frugally but is very generous to colleagues who need help. When a colleague is ill and needs money for hospital bills, he will lend a hand without hesitation. He is equally generous to friends and family, but is very frugal for himself. Because he earnestly follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, he is always thoughtful toward others. His personality is also naturally easy-going and mellow so people enjoy being his friend and interacting with him.
Mr. Li is a hard working employee as well as being well known for his outstanding performance in many offices. For example, in Mr. Li's current company, many employees have resigned from their positions because of the company's difficult financial situation. Mr. Li's subordinates, however, have all decided to continue their work in the company because of Mr. Li. This deeply impressed Mr. Li's managers and earned him praise.
A few years ago when Mr. Li was working at an Australian company, his boss believed in his capabilities and integrity. When Mr. Li was wrongly persecuted, his boss arrived at the police station in person and asked to bail him out. The company respected Mr. Li's beliefs and thought he was a good person.
Illegally Arrested Once More
At 9:00 a.m. on March 26, 2011, under the conspiracy between the Futian District 610 Office and the Fuqiang Road Police Station, a dozen people broke into Mr. Li Hongzhou's home and arrested him and his wife Tang Qinghua, without showing official identification or going through formal procedures. They also confiscated many items in Mr. Li's home, including his laptop that he used for his job. Ms. Tang was later released due to her pregnancy.
Mr. Li's elderly father suffered a mental breakdown after hearing of his son's persecution. Mr. Li's hometown is a rural village in Shaanxi Province. His parents are both over 60 years old and Mr. Li is their only son. Mr. Li's father was traumatized in the Cultural Revolution as a middle aged man and has suffered from psychasthenia ever since, relying on Mr. Li's mother for his care. Mr. Li is a filial son and frequently sends money to his parents despite his own financial difficulties, and never forgets his love for his family.
Mr. Li has been detained in the Shenzhen City Futian District Detention Center for almost a year. The local police gave Mr. Li's family members a forged notice of the arrest with no signature on it. The arrest has caused Mr. Li's family extreme pain and grief. Another family has thus been destroyed by the Chinese Communist Party.
