(Minghui.org) For the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, Noel D. Harty, Mayor of the City of Loogootee, Indiana, in recognition of the importance of Falun Dafa, proclaimed May 13th as “Falun Dafa Day” in Loogootee and encouraged all of the residents to celebrate the 20th World Falun Dafa Day on May 13th.
PROCLAMATION
The City of Loogootee is Celebrating the 20th World Falun Dafa Day on May 13th
Why: To provide recognition throughout the state of Indiana. All exercise classes are free and open to the public. The volunteers dedicate their time to teach the exercises and share this form of the ancient culture of China, which has been almost completely demolished by the Chinese Communist Regime.
Whereas: Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice of mind, body and spirit based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance
Whereas: Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society
Whereas: Falun Dafa, publicly introduced by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, is now practiced and cherished by over 100 million people in over 100 countries and has received a plethora of honors
Whereas: Numerous practitioners of Falun Dafa are persecuted in China for their teachings
Whereas: Indiana residents participate in the global effort in peacefully appealing for freedom and human rights for those in need.
Now therefore, I, Noel D. Harty, Mayor of the City of Loogootee, in recognition of this important initiative, do hereby proclaim May 13th as
“Falun Dafa Day”
in Loogootee, IN and encourage all of our residents to celebrate the 20th World Falun Dafa Day on May 13th.
