(Minghui.org) On December 7, 2011, Ms. Jin Yijun went to Lanzhou Prison to pick up practitioner Shao Yanbo, who had been incarcerated for eight years. She was followed and arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division in Lanzhou City. Her home was also ransacked. On January 5, 2012, a lawyer was engaged, but that same day, the police manipulated the Labor Re-education Committee in Lanzhou City and took Ms. Jin Yijun to forced labor. On the afternoon of January 6, 2012, the police secretly transferred her from the First Detention Station in Lanzhou City to the Gansu Province Women's Forced Labor Camp for one year of forced labor.

On February 7, 2012, Jin Yijun's family finally saw her in the labor camp. In the camp, guards stood behind her. Her family outside of the glass window were also surrounded by guards. Ms. Jin's 9-year-old daughter, who had not seen her mother for two months, wept so sadly that she could not speak. A policewoman said to Jin Yijun, ”See how much you hurt your family? Write a statement now so that you can go home early.” Ms. Jin said to the policewoman, “I did not do anything wrong. What kind of statement can I write!” The policewoman had no reply. Jin Yijun told her family clearly that she would appeal the forced labor sentence.

It is known that the Lanzhou Forced Labor Committee considered as evidence what the police found when they searched Jin Yijun's purse and ransacked her home, including the books Zhuan Falun, Minghui Article Collection, and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
